Publisher's summary

Sloane De Carlo is going to have to move to Antarctica.

As if it wasn't bad enough that she accidentally made her private blog very public, and all her innermost secrets and embarrassing moments are trending, now the entirety of the internet is dying to know who her all-consuming, never-get-over-him crush "Guy" really is. She's even got a literary agent dangling a book deal in front of her nose - but there's a catch. She'll have to get closure with "Guy" and give her story that pitch-perfect ending.

Too bad the real "Guy" is engaged to someone else. #Blessed

The only person in her teeny hometown of Arbor Bay who knows the truth is local bartender Brady Knox. And he's not telling...for a price. He'll pretend to be Sloane's "Guy" if she'll use her newfound internet fame to bring more business to his struggling local bar. Brady's always been a lone wolf, but there's something about the pint-sized, supremely awkward yet beautiful Sloane that charms him.

But keeping secrets in a small town like Arbor Bay isn't easy. And Brady was never meant to be the guy for a pitch-perfect ending....

Contains mature themes.

a bit predictable but cute

I loved the story line, the bartender's secret keeping, the mean girl character was fitting, and there wasn't any wastful repetition. The only disappointment was the reading of a well known song. Other than that I loved the accent and all!

Love the southern accent ❤️

Alabama girl here. My favorite part was when she described the southern goodbye. THAT WAS 100% CORRECT! You need an extra hour just for the hugs & “extras”. Loved that!

Truths Matter

Fake ‘Til You Make is a story about friendship, honesty, grieving, and finding love. It is a contemporary coming of age story within the context of small town community life, blogging, today’s technology, and today’s courting rituals. Its themes are rather universal making it an appropriate story for emerging adults and seniors. Fake ‘Til You Make It immerses the reader in the characters portrayed.

So Bad

There must be trillions of books in the world and only a small percentage of them are any good. This isn’t one of the good ones. It’s horrible. The dialogue must grimace at itself. Continuity is awful. It assumes you can fill in the blanks between hints. I swear there must be bad porn music as a backtrack but not any porn. At least not as far as I heard, and I made it halfway through. Instead there were references to melting panties, suddenly tight boxer briefs, and the urge to cram ice cubes in pants to cool off. The chemistry between the main characters was nil and the story had not really developed by the halfway mark. Narration is as good as narrating an awful book can be.
