Publisher's summary

“I can’t get him out of my head."

Zayden’s only at this veterinary conference as a last-minute favor to his boss - and the mixer events really aren’t his style. That is, until he meets a hot omega who is down for a quick fling. There’s just one catch: When the event is over, Zayden can’t help himself from wanting more.

"I feel so stupid. It’s all blowing up in my face."

Elliott returned from the conference with some nice continuing education, some happy memories...and a baby in his stomach. When he can’t hide his pregnancy, he panics, inventing a long distance boyfriend who he’s very happy with. He might get away with the lie, too - until Zayden shows up and blows all of Elliott’s preconceptions out of the water.

Welcome to Sunnydale Vets, where love is the best medicine, and all it takes to fix your problems is the willingness to roll up your sleeves and get to work. This heartwarming audiobook features a veterinary work exchange, an unplanned pregnancy, and one very fake relationship that’s determined to blossom into something real. This audiobook and every other audiobook in the Sunnydale Vets series can be listened to in any order.

A little humor and some drama

This is the enjoyable story of Zayden and Elliott and their hot fling at a veterinary conference with a couple of days filled with lust and a bit of an accident. Then a surprise, subsequent secrets and lies. The story is basically the sweet struggle to untangle the mess with interesting primary and secondary characters.
Where the book itself if good, the audio narration is a bit unsatisfactory. All in all Guillaume Dubois makes a very good job, but, for me and my ears, Elliott voice was too squeaky and therefore irritating. The narration timing is on point even though in some part is a little too fast. Nevertheless, I recommend the audio book as well as the ebook.
I received a promo audio code for an honest review.

Sunnydale Vets

I throughly enjoyed listening to this story by Austin Bates. He makes this little vet come to life with his believable characters. Guillaume Dubois has a great voice and is entertaining in his delivery of Austin’s characters. Was a pleasure listening.

This really enjoyable series continues with book 4

Mr. Guillaume Dubois narration of Cat & Mouse was a real pleasure to listen too! His voice fluctuations during his narration added so much more to my over all listening pleasure! The character's of Elliott, a happy go lucky hard working Omega and Zayden, a strong and take charge Alpha make this book so much more than just another mill of the run Alpha/Omega book! Their chemistry is off the charts and their inner actions are hilarious at times to this reader anyway. Even though Elliott panics after their first time together; in the end they get their happy ever after. As always the character development, the story, the background characters make this book such an enjoyable listening experience. Please if you get the chance don't miss out on this great 4th. book in the series or even better the listening pleasure that you will receive from sitting down and just relaxing while Mr. Dubois takes you to a beautiful place! An avid book reader/listener in Rock Tavern, NY.

Sweet romance with a big misunderstanding

The story is great! I could really appreciate the personality of both main characters. The narrator managed to show their individualities in an amazing way.

The book is about an alpha and an Omega who found each other, hooked up and got pregnant, but the alpha didn't know... Sooooo...

I had a great time listening to this book and will recommend it a lot if you want a light story, with a bit of drama.

Meow!

Austin has done it again. We'll rounded characters. And I love that he used the characters from other books keeping the story going. A couple of upsets but all is right in the end. I can't say enough about the narrator. He is very expressive in his reading. I enjoyed the experience as a whole.

Zayden and Elliott

Zayden was terrific. He was sweet, giving and truly wanted to be there for Elliott. I loved that he kept giving Elliott the reigns in their relationship. Whatever Elliott needed Zayden was willing to hand him on a platter. I have to say that I did not like Elliott for most of the book. He is so afraid of being judged that he keeps running away from Zayden and everything he is being offered, lying to everyone and generally making a mess of his own happiness. His hot and cold attitude gave me whiplash. It wasn’t until the end of the book when, once again, Zayden gave him a choice about his status in their relationship that Elliott finally is willing to embrace Zayden’s love and support. Once Elliott felt secure he blossomed into a great guy. I just wished we got to see more of that.
The narrator is terrific at the tempo and enunciation. Liked his voices for everyone but Elliott. All I could hear is Marvin the Martian from Looney Toons if he was a valley boy.

Cat and Mouse

Elliot and Zayden comes from two different lifestyles. One being from a small town and the other a metropolis.
Having an attraction for each other at an convention brings them together.

I liked the story line but the narrator had the characters to close together.
Growing up in a small town Elliot was a little to flamboyant, and Zayden was a little to high pitched for an Alpha.
Other than that I enjoyed the audio. The next audio preview at the end of the story was much better for dividing the characters voices.
