Publisher's summary

“He seems like a bad influence.”

Beau’s been hearing about his brother’s best friend Trick for years - and has made his disapproval of their friendship known in more ways than one. Beau’s a steady, solid, set-in-his ways kind of guy, and he just wants his brother to do well in life...but this Trick guy is at the root of every mischievous story his brother tells.

"I’m not afraid of being who I am and wanting what I want. Are you?"

Patrick thrives on spontaneity, mischief, and mayhem. Injured in a car accident in his teens, he hasn’t let his limited mobility hold him back from experiencing all life has to offer. And when life offers up a cute vet just when he needs help for his service dog Pepper, who is he to turn it down?

Welcome to Sunnydale Vets, where love is the best medicine, and all it takes to fix your problems is the willingness to roll up your sleeves and get to work. This heartwarming audiobook features mpreg, an omega who isn’t about to let his disability get in the way of living his best life, a handsome veterinarian who needs to learn how to loosen up, and one heck of an awkward identity reveal. This audiobook and every other audiobook in the Sunnydale Vets series can be listened to in any order.

Patrick & Beau

Beau is annoyed with his brother's antics worth his friend Trick, who is showing up to visit. Beau is smitten with the visitor, Patrick. A fun story with a planner and a spontaneous man. Great narrator.

Fun story

This is a fun story about a serious vet and a carefree law student that manage to be just what the other person needs.
Patrick is a law student that decides to go and visit his best friend. While exploring the area, his service dog gets injured and here comes Beau to the rescue. They spend a lot of time together before finding out about their shared connection.

While this is a mpreg story, it doesn't seem like it until the end of the book.

This is a new narrator for me and I think he has potential but it seemed that the only voice changes were during actual conversations so it was a bit difficult at times to identify which character's point of view it was. I look forward to listening to the next in the series.

Excellent start for a series

Full disclosure I received a copy from the author in exchange for a honest review.
I loved Patrick and Beau. And Pepper.
Excellent representation of a character with disabilities.
A tried and true entry for the discovered identity trope.
A most enjoyable read.

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Simply sweet

Lovely, easy to listen to story. Well written and narrated. Perfect story that had a MC with a disablilty which makes the story stand out to me. It’s great when the MC’s are realistic and perfect for each other.

Dog Days of Summer

When Patrick’s service dog is injured while he is on vacation, he meets Beau a wonderful alpha veterinarian who not only helps his service dog but steals his heart as well. What will happen when the two find out just who they truly are? Will their attraction prove to be strong or will the two end what they have just started?

This is a sweet story about finding love in the last place that you would expect it. I enjoyed Patrick and Beau. Patrick is a strong man and even though he relies on a service dog he can still stand on his own. Beau is a good man who sees more to Patrick than someone who is disabled. Their attraction is hot right form the start and I enjoyed watching it grow and deepen as they spend time together. It was nice to see the way the two work through their problems together. The two men are opposites but both men are ready to try. Their story moves at a good pace and is a nice introduction to this world.

New to Audible and loved this story

I'm a big fan of Austin Bates. This is my first Audible book and enjoyed the experience. I really enjoyed the story of Beau, the older Alpha brother falling for his younger brother's best friend. What I didn't like is how the narrator made the Omega voices so feminine. I would anticipate Patrick becoming a lawyer having a more main stream voice. I will credit the narrator with doing a good job of giving each character their own voice. Overall I loved the narration and look forward to hearing other books by Guillaume Dubois.
