Informative and educational.

Wow! What many may have once assumed and thought was right or correct, may be inaccurate. This was an exercise changing book, for the better. Loved this audible. Some may find it difficult at times to follow, but push through and persevere. You will be happy you did.

The way we should be doing resistance training.

You will gather the proper training techniques in this book and spend a lot less time doing it! The hardest part is unlearning the training we've been taught over our lifespan.

Results!!!

Have been following this extremely quick & easy program, as presented, for months now and have seen continual strength increases. I have been strength training for probably about 15 yrs. I suffered a c2-c3 spinal cord injury in 2010, and was temporarily paralyzed from the neck down. I have to Thank the Most High for my amazing recovery, which strength training has been a staple in. Through atrophy, I lost about 25 lbs in the first 30 days or so. My right side's function and coordination came back over the first couple of months, but the left has been much slower, with spasticity (stiffness), loss of dexterity, and all kind of imbalances and weaknesses. Basically, constant strength training became a necessity instead of hobby. After overcoming the self-consciousness of my awkward movements in settings like the gym. I quickly found myself training for hours, 3-4 times a week and for all the years to follow. This high level of exertion wasn't really sustainable, and it was only about doing more sets or reps, which would fluctuate depending on everything else (injuries, motivation, diet, etc). Since beginning this program about 3-4 months ago, I have been able to safely and steadily improve strength to the point that an injured bicep and pulled muscle in my back under my shoulder blade have virtually gone away. I say virtually, because when carrying 3 cases of water into the house last month, I pulled the back muscle again (which has happened too often since first pulling it), but I could feel how much stronger the muscle was. It hurt for a little while that night and was fine the next day (usually lingers for days to weeks). I even did my strength training the next day without issue. This program takes me about 20 min a week. It's so brief I can always find the time and motivation. You simply have to try it for yourself. Obviously I Highly Recommend It!!!

Excellent breakdown of EP

While parts of the book were dense in detail of exercise physiology principles, it was overall an enjoyable and informative read. Any athlete or student of fitness would greatly benefit from reading this book

Scientific Research

This research goes along the lines of "Weight Lifting Is a Waste of Time, So Is Cardio, and There’s a Better Way to Have the Body You Want" by Dr. John Jaquish and "Deep Fitness" by Philip Shepherd and Andrei Yakovenko. The premise for all is similar. Taking muscles to failure or fatigue really works. There are health benefits, increased bone and muscle density, and overall physical fitness. Read each of the books and the research.

Detail oriented.

This book is an indepth and persuasive look at what fitness and health could be. It is carefully documented with experience, verified research studies and logical reasoning. At times it uses complex bioscience, physiology, and psychology. However after giving the details a simple understandable explanation follows.
I want to listen again and take notes. I plan on using the information to build a path way to health and fitness for myself and my family.
