Good basic info but terrible narration

This was just not a good narrator match. It felt agitating and like I was being talked at. The info was good basic info on attachment theory and was worth finishing the book. I liked the attached PDF as well!

Great book!

This book sums up every YouTube video that I have watched on the subject of attachment theory. I listened to the book twice just to get what I may have missed.

Highly Recommend to Therapists & Social Workers

This was a very good book! I would highly recommend this book to therapists and social workers or those who are students who are going into the field. This book talks about CBT, and EFT which are very good to use in therapy sessions. It also talks about triggers and the deeper meaning of each attachment theory and how each one can show up in a relationship AND provides examples and doesn't make you guess or try to figure out what the author means.

PAINFUL

I thought the book content was useful. However, listening to the narrator's style and crackling voice, made it too uncomfortable and difficult for me to tolerate and continue listening to her. I stopped listening and purchased the book.

Okay for the genre, but could be better produced.

The first couple of chapters were good, the middle fell flat, and the end picked up a bit but also wasn't much content that the author came up with - more like a regurgitation of other therapist's tools.

The reader was also pretty boring to listen to after awhile. very little change in tonality/inflection with different sentence structures and content.

Online content with worksheets/conversation starters/journal prompts would also have been valuable.

Good explanation. Terrible narration

I found the explanation of Attachment Theory simplified and accurate. Useful information on how to overcome negative attachment styles. Well done! The narration was extremely difficult to listen to. I found the content interesting, so I painfully listened to the entire book. The narrator grossly mispronounced important words in the theory, and her tone was awful. Looking forward to seeing the resources on the site mentioned. Will purchase a hard copy of the book.

Narrator talked at you

The content was helpful but the narrator did not speak from a place of groundedness. I felt talked at as a result and it made it harder to absorb the information.

Relationship Savvy I wish I'd had 50 years ago

Just the pdf worksheets identifying your attachment style are worthy of selecting this book. Thais Gibson's life altering advice applies to persons with either largely insecure or more nearly secure attachment styles. Knowing attachment theory can set your relationships on firmer ground. ~ Adrienne
