Love this narration!

I love Gentry…..hello, Christian Black!! The Genry I needed! Gregory Salinas as Karson…WHAT?! Thank you, Sir! Roxelana Waters as Leana… perfection. The narrators make this book even better. Definitely one of my top listens of 2023.


Along For The Ride is a mixing bowl full of messed up. Mostly beyond the realm of morally grey. Yet here I am, lapping it up. MMC’s, brothers and hitmen. Both psychopaths who just love to unalive but the FMC manages to find her way into their insane little hearts. I shouldn’t want these men, but I do and I’m not even a little ashamed! 😗😗😗 If you are an avid Dark Romance reader, this book is a winner, especially with the amount of tropes! You may also find yourself giggling at the brotherly banter, especially about fetishes and needing to one up each other. As always, pay attention to the trigger warnings, this book has plenty.

It Was Great

The story was really good! I love dark MFM stories and this one did not disappoint!

Nice addition to the series

Much like the other stories in the dark hitchhikers romances, this was a very well written dark romance. A good amount of spice pretty much every chapter, the story line was good with a solid ending. I’m personally not a huge fan of breeding kink, which was pretty heavy in this. Not that I don’t mind it, I felt like it was just called out specifically too much. The performance from all the narrators involved was very well done!

Not for me

I didn’t enjoy most of the book. A bit gross and the spice wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would be. Very weird book.

Good Second Edition to the Series

Loved the story, but I was not a fan of the narration so it has taken me a while to get through this one.

Heed the Trigger Warnings because they are in there.

This is book two in the Ride or Die Romances and MFM Dark Romance, Reverse Harem. Gentry and Carson are brothers and hitmen that carjacks/kidnaps Leanne in the car that she stole getting away from her abusive boyfriend. They embark on a road trip to do a job and she is along for the ride. They are also given a few other jobs as they make their way to California and that's when she realizes what they do and that she is just as psychotic as they are. All their hostility turns into lust, lots of spicy moments and killing along the way.

Taboo topics

I really enjoyed this audiobook (don’t judge me) - I do HIGHLY recommend reading the trigger warnings on the Lauren’s website before reading/listening. I listened to the first two books on a roadtrip last month, can’t wait for my trip this month to listen to the 3rd!

This audio hits

I never knew how much I liked hitchhiker dark romance until this series. Lauren did the damn thing. I do have to say I like Hitched better than this one, but this one is a big boy all on his own. I also simultaneously read and listened to this book. Reading it I could not stand Karson, listening to the audiobook, the narrators made me not dislike him quite so much. It’s crazy how much a vocal performance can change the whole perception of a character. I still prefer Gentry though. Rosalina is new to me, but I always enjoy Gregory and Christian’s narration. They do an amazing job of bringing characters to life off the page and making the story an immersive experience. 😂 Onto book 3!

💭My Thoughts:
Along for the Ride is the second book in the Ride or Die series, and it’s absolutely pitch black. The story follows Leana a junkie running away from her a user boyfriend. The kind soul that she is offers a ride to hitchhikers Gentry and Karson, serial unalivers who are on their way to a series of hits. The trio eventually finds light in the darkness after a cross country trek.

It took me a while to really get into the story, but I grew to love the Kursicki brothers, kinks and all. The narrators did a great job. I especially loved Karson because of his narration. Crazy as he was, he was also sexy as hell.

I loved the dual narration. Especially with this level of spice, it brought the story to another level.

“As soon as you say ‘Yes Sir’, I want you to drop to your knees and bury my c0ck in your throat until I feel you beg for a breath.”

the story was good, spicy for sure, triggers-many, would listed again? 1000!!

a little repetitive in some areas but still worth it. I would still listen again.

Breathy MMC Narration

I never leave reviews however, I wish someone would have told me before I bought this. The male narrator does this weird audible exhale at the end of every sentence. I may be nitpicking but I found myself listening for the breaths rather than what he was saying.
