First Abbi Glines series I’ve ever been disappointed in

Ive been a huge AG fan for years and her books have always had a perfect balance of story line, character development and heat! But I listened to the first two books in this series and could barely get through the second one because of all the gratuitous sex. I like sizzle but her sex scenes began to feel like just page fillers there were so many of them. This story line had so much potential but it got boring quickly. Maybe Abbi got a bit lazy or maybe it’s just me. I’ll continue to reread her Rosemary Beach books and I’ll always have a Rush Crush but this series didn’t do it for me.

Cliffhanger?? WHATT?

This book kept me guessing the entire time! Bad boy Blaze keeps you guessing and until it’s revealed at the end, I wasn’t sure I liked him at all! Then…..a cliffhanger! Can’t wait for book 2!

I enjoyed reading the book but I hate cliff hangers. I love series but I like for them to finish the book. I’m also not big on books about mobsters. I hope they aren’t into selling drugs. They didn’t really get into exactly what kind of mob they are.

I loved the story.

The story itself was good. I love the characters. But I really wish they'd used a male narrator for the male character.

I’ve pre-ordered book 2

Extremely well written. I could not stop listening. I would give it a five if it had been recorded with both female and male narrators. The female is very good though.

Worth the wait

I have been waiting months for this audio release and it did not disappoint. The story was classically addictive Abbi. The narration can make or break and this one was surprisingly solid. Bring on Book 2!

I needed this book~

so so good~ It has been a while since I have listened to a really good book that pulled me in and one I did not want it to end. I can not wait for the rest of the books to come out. You won't be disappointed with Smokeshow!

Not my favorite.

I feel like this book was soooo vague. Very unrealistic. I like Abbi Glines and I'll probably listen to the next book when it's released due to the cliffhanger but this book was really underwhelming to me.

Disappointing-but has some redeemable characters

The narraters were not my favorite-they did an average job telling the story.
The author has had some terrific books in the past-but this book seemed a little dated with how the main male character acted in the beginning…his character did better as the story continued - but to introduce some rougher sex scenes “after the main female lead” is seriously hurt…seemed very OFF to me/I am all for some great serious sex scenes / but it just did not fit where it was placed - to me…The cliffhanger was a good one and it will make me want to chk out the next book.
But I will not be recommending this book to my friends-because it has left me feeling blah & I guess I just didn’t care for Blaze. I think a Tough male lead can be demanding & display leadership without being so verbally abusive as he was.
