Eh.

While her over all message of eating unprocessed foods is sound and I 100% agree with there are a few things that rubbed me the wrong way.

- A few outdated/misinformed recommendations such as milk causing mucus.

-most pickles found in grocery stores are not fermented. You have to do a deep dive to find them.

-eliminate legumes!!! This was absolutely ridiculous.

-eliminate gluten- while if you are eating mostly unprocessed foods you are most likely not eating gluten. But unless you have celiac disease (which she does have) or proven sensitivity then no need to eliminate. Feel better after eliminating? Probably because you cut down severely on processed foods where most gluten is found (pizza, breads, pasta etc)

-uses fad words like clean eating and superfoods.

-seemed to vilify starchy vegetables. They can be over done but no need to eliminate especially eaten unprocessed

Yes, eat mostly a plant based, unprocessed diet (that doesn’t mean vegan or vegetarian) but there was so much I was grinding my teeth about.

By the way, you can definitely eat healthy on a vegetarian or vegan diet if done correctly. I do thank her for telling those individuals her book isn’t for them.

Downloadable would have been nice.

This book was informative and included a lot of information. It would have been nice if the recipe section was available as a download with this audio book.

How can I get access to the recipes? The audible version is great, but there is no attachment for the info in the book.
