Ascension of a Street Rat

With a knife in his gut, Rowan figured he was destined to become just another corpse littering the slums of Taureen. So he was fairly surprised to wake up in the back of a moving wagon with a couple of adventurers. Turns out that Rowan had been given something most street rats can only dream of—a second chance.

Having survived his first year at Faebrook, all Rowan wants is to continue adventuring, learn more magic, and perhaps enjoy a nice apple pie every now and then. Instead, he is swept into the political turmoil that seems to follow Morgana everywhere she goes. With assassins lurking in the shadows, dungeon dives growing ever more dangerous, and rumors of dark deeds going unpunished in the Fae homeland, it will take all of Rowan's ability just to survive.

Battered and broken, Rowan once again refuses to die. Deep within the bowels of the earth, he wakes to find himself cut off from the world, his mana paths severed, and trapped within a strange dungeon: the Dracoludus. Guarded by an ancient dragon who holds the only key to his escape, Rowan must grow stronger, and fast. For even if his friends survived the events of Miriarda Forest, then they are still in mortal danger, stalked by a genocidal cult who will stop at nothing to see their god returned to the continent.
