Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust. And all that f--king shit. I had killed. I had sacrificed. The innocent and the corrupt. I knew blood, and I knew violence. Never imagining I could know love, too. Mia Ryder was a woman to love. To cherish. To f--king claim. Now, forever, and every day in between. If there was anyone I'd go to hell and back for, it was her. Even if it meant going to war with...my f--king brother.

Living in a world where I was worth more dead than alive was a choice. I was a bad man; I never claimed to be anything else. I've done things I'm not proud of, seen things that can't be unseen. I've caused pain that I can't undo. It was all my choice. Every decision. Every order. Right and wrong never mattered. Until her. She was under my protection, until she became my obsession.

I once read that every warrior hoped an honorable death would find him. I always went looking for mine, but not even the Reaper wanted me. I was trained to kill. I was trained to not ask why. To take orders and just march in line. Hoo-ah motherf--ker. Life or death. Ride or die. And I'm not only talking about the military. I'm talking about the life that led me on the road to nowhere. My life. I fought for my brothers. I fought for my family. I fought for my country. And I fought for her...Never realizing I might die for them too.

It was complicated, it was also just the beginning. A decision. A simple choice. There is always that one moment in life where things could have been different. That one moment where you could have chosen a path that would lead you down a certain road. A different life. It was easier to pretend that we were still best friends, and that she was my girl and I was her boy. Pretending was better than knowing the truth. I. Ruined. Us. I had her. I lost her. I love her. All I did was complicate us.

It was only a matter of time until the truth came out. I never thought it would come to this. I tried, God knows I tried to stay away from her but eventually I crossed that line and broke that trust. I could no longer go back and I sure as f--k didn't regret a single moment of it. I knew there would be hell to pay, I knew the wrath I'd be facing but I would willingly take the burns and scars just to have the love of my best friend's sister. If there is one person I'd willingly go to hell and back for it was Lillian Ryder.

But most organizations fail to realize this potentially extraordinary source of revenue-enhancing ideas. The authors of Ideas Are Free use real-world examples from their work with hundreds of organizations to show how to exploit the virtually free, perpetually renewable resource of employee ideas.

Crimes That Changed Our World explores some of the most important trigger cases of the past century, revealing much about how change comes to our modern world. The exact nature of the crime-outrage-reform dynamic can take many forms, and Paul and Sarah Robinson explore those differences in the cases they present. Each case is in some ways unique but there are repeating patterns that can offer important insights about what produces change and how in the future we might best manage it.

The discovery of a previously lost Gospel of Judas Iscariot has electrified the Christian community, portraying this despised man as someone who saw his role in the Passion of Christ as integral to a larger plan, and bringing new clarity to the old story. If Judas had not betrayed Jesus, Jesus would not have been handed over to the authorities, crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. Could it be that without Judas, the Easter miracle would never have happened?
