Beauty comes at a price. And no one knows that better than Ebenezer Tweezer, who has stayed beautiful for 511 years. How, you may wonder? Ebenezer simply has to feed the beast in the attic of his mansion. In return for meals of performing monkeys, statues of Winston Churchill, and the occasional cactus, Ebenezer gets potions that keep him young and beautiful, as well as other presents. But the beast grows ever greedier with each meal, and one day he announces that he’d like to eat a nice, juicy child next. Ebenezer has never done anything quite this terrible.

Why not just make the cake? That's a question countless people across the country started asking in 2012, when Jack Phillips told two men who walked into his Masterpiece Cakeshop that he couldn't create a custom cake for their same-sex wedding. And the question only grew more urgent as Phillips had to defend himself first before the Colorado Civil Rights Commission and then numerous courts - losing at every step of the way until the US Supreme Court ruled in his favor in June 2018.

After controlling Ebenezer Tweezer for 511 years and trying to eat Bethany twice, the beast is safely locked up…for about five minutes. Soon the world’s most despicable creature is out of its cage and back in Ebenezer’s attic. But there’s something different about the beast now—it’s calling everyone its bestie and vomiting up lovely gifts for the neighbours. In the most disturbing turn of events yet, has the beast turned…nice?

Now 10-year-old notorious prankster Bethany, along with her new feathery friend Claudette, is determined that she and Ebenezer are going to DE-BEAST their lives and do good. But Bethany finds that being a notorious prankster makes it hard to get taken on for voluntary work. And Ebenezer is secretly missing the beast's vomity gifts.

Schönheit und Unsterblichkeit haben ihren Preis. Der gutaussehende Ebenezer Tweezer wirkt zwar überaus jugendlich, ist aber schon 511 Jahre alt. Sein düsteres Geheimnis: Auf dem Dachboden hält er sich - gut versteckt hinter einem bodenlangen roten Samtvorhang - ein Biest, mit dem er einen ungeheuerlichen Pakt geschlossen hat. Das Biest bekommt was auch immer es fressen will und im Gegenzug erhält Ebenezer, das wonach er verzweifelt verlangt - einen Trank, der ihm ewige Jugend und Unsterblichkeit verspricht.

Das Biest scheint besiegt zu sein und Bethany und Ebenezer sind wahre Freunde geworden. Ende gut, alles gut - oder? Von wegen! Von nun an wollen die beiden "gute Menschen" werden und alle Spuren des Biests beseitigen. Im Rahmen der großen Entbiesterung werden die vielen glamourösen Geschenke des Biests kurzerhand für kleines Geld an die Nachbarschaft verkauft. Weg mit den schlimmen Erinnerungen! Doch Ebenezer vermisst seinen luxuriösen Lebensstil schnell und auch Bethany fehlen ihre fiesen Streiche.

Nachdem sie das Biest mit vereinten Kräften verjagt haben, leben Bethany und Ebenezer ihr bestes bestienfreies Leben! In Miss Muddles Süßigkeitenladen stellt Bethany allerlei süße Kreationen her und Ebenezer betreibt nun einen Wohltätigkeitsverein, obgleich er immer noch nicht besonders gut darin ist, so richtig gut zu sein. Aber da das Biest nie dazu bestimmt war, lange eingesperrt zu bleiben, taucht es urplötzlich wieder auf! Bethany und Ebenezer erleben ihre bisher schlimmste Überraschung.
