Jacko is just beginning to find his feet as the SAS "New Boy" when once again his Troop are crashed out of Baghdad's Green Zone. This time, they are on a fast ball: a British hostage has just been located by the Americans.

Jacko Brooks joined the Infantry as a boy soldier and now, at the age of 24 years, he has just been badged as a member of 22 SAS Regiment, so despite his enormous mortgage, clapped-out car, and complete lack of funds, he is doing pretty well. Jacko, Kenny, and Dan are on their way to a drinks party at the British Embassy in Baghdad as a thank you for rescuing Prince Harry. Then, out of nowhere, their Warrior is devastated by an IED (Improvised Explosive Device). Amidst heavy enemy fire Jacko is forced to carry out urgent medical treatment to keep his friends alive until the crash out team arrives.
