Bon: The Last Highway is the original, forensic, unflinching and masterful biography Bon Scott has so richly deserved and music fans around the world have been waiting for. AC/DC are the number-one Heavy Metal band. Formed in Australia in 1974, by the Young brothers Angus and Malcolm, their family was from Glasgow, Scotland. The original line up consisted of Angus, Malcolm, drummer Phil Rudd, vocalist Bon Scott and bassist Mark Evans, who was replaced by Cliff Williams from Romford, England. When original lead singer Bon Scott died in the early 80's, the group overcame that bombshell by appointing British singer Brian Johnson and the result was a number-one album.

Long before there was VHS versus Betamax, Windows versus Macintosh, or Blu-Ray versus HD-DVD, the first and nastiest standards war was fought over how electricity would be transmitted around the world: alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC). The savage showdown between AC and DC changed the lives of billions of people, shaped the modern technological age, and set the stage for all standards wars to follow.

He’s a rough-edged muso with calloused fingers and a heart full of pub rock dreams. She’s a sharp-tongued aspiring music journalist, armed with a leather notebook, Doc Martens, and a mind wired for lyrics and headlines. Joe Bonomo strikes a three-chord essay on the power of adolescence, the durability of rock & roll fandom, and the transformative properties of memory. Why does Highway To Hell matter to anyone beyond non-ironic teenagers? Blending interviews, analysis, and memoir with a fan's perspective, Highway To Hell dramatizes and celebrates a timeless album that one critic said makes "disaster sound like the best fun in the world."

Learn how this group of Australian mates became one of the few truly legendary rock and roll bands in history. Author Susan Masino traces the band's roots, from their beginnings in Sydney, Australia in the early 1970s to trail-blazing the United States mainstream to the devastating death of lead singer Bon Scott in 1980. After that tragedy, the band pulled together and rebounded to the top of the charts with new front man, Brian Johnson, and their watershed album, Back in Black.

He lived in lightning—brilliant, eccentric, often misunderstood. From a Croatian farm to Manhattan’s electric glow, Nikola Tesla carried visions so audacious they read like prophecy: wireless power, radio waves, machines that felt like magic. This is the story of a mind that lit the modern world and the ruthless currents that tried to drown it out. Sharp, unsentimental, and fast-paced, JD Arden cuts through myth to reveal the human logic behind invention: the equations, the obsessions, and the theater.

Ian Fraser Kilmister was born on Christmas Eve, 1945. Learning from an early age that chicks do appreciate a guy with a guitar, and inspired by the music of Elvis and Buddy Holly, Lemmy outgrew his local bands in Wales, choosing instead to head to Manchester to experience everything he could get his hands on. And he never looked back. White Line Fever, a headbanging tour of the excesses of a man being true to his music and his pleasures, offers a sometimes hilarious, often outrageous, but always highly entertaining ride with the frontman of the loudest rock band in the world.

The year that changed everything for the Beatles was 1966 - the year of their last concert and of Revolver, their first album created to be listened to rather than performed. This was the year the Beatles risked their popularity by retiring from live performances, recording songs that explored alternative states of consciousness, experimenting with avant-garde ideas, and speaking their minds on issues of politics, war, and religion. Music journalist and Beatles expert Steve Turner investigates the enormous changes that took place in the Beatles' lives and work during 1966.

It took me a lifetime to have the courage and the clarity to write my memoir. I want to tell the story of the moments - the ups and downs, the triumphs and traumas, the debacles and the dreams - that contributed to the person I am today. This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival, and my songs. Unfiltered. I went deep into my childhood and gave the scared little girl inside of me a big voice. I let the abandoned and ambitious adolescent have her say, and the betrayed and triumphant woman I became tell her side.
