Well this is a divisive chapter, Aled was really looking forward to reviewing it but Andrew absolutely hated it. He felt too much was repeated and nothing new was introduced, I'm getting the feeling he really craves action. Some interesting plot points are mentioned, or reinforced, but little of anything new.

Aled is onboard, unfortunately Andrew is not.

Rands back in the Queens Blessing and nobody believes his crazy stories, honestly this guy would make the best liar because his real life is  just too insane to believe. The rest of the gang turns up and Mat has a serious problem, can Moiraine save him? Also, Andrew wants to know "What's up with the cats?!"

We're introduced to some new characters in this episode, will they play a major role in the story going forward? Andrew certainly thinks so, however he finds it hard to get onboard with royalty so he might struggle to warm up to them.

We're back after a bit of an unplanned break and so are Rand and Mat.

The day we've all been waiting for has arrived and Logain is being escorted through Caemlyn. However all is not well in the city as it seems to be tense and is someone with bad intentions hunting Rand?

A short chapter but lots to think about! We ponder the coins that Moiraine gave out and how they work before following Nyneave on her attempts to help free Perrin and Egwene and find humor in the similarities to Metal Gear Solid. We discuss the One Power and it's potential uses. What implications does this have for The Dragon Reborn?

Andrew has some speculation over a potential love interest, could there be a blooming love story in the middle of all the chaos?

Andrew continues his read through of The Eye of the World, the first book in The Wheel of Time series.

We meet the best character of the whole series, Based Loial. We get a massive exposition dump the Pattern, Groves, The Exile, Stone, Ta'veren. So much information to process and we do our best to work through it and make sense of it.

Rand and Mat finally arrive in Caemlyn! Andrew joins team End Mat as his morose negativity begins to wear him down. We discuss the choices the boys make as they arrive and are pleasantly surprised that they don't seem completely stupid.

Finally we dive into Thom Merrilin as a character and Andrew reveals his take on whether Thom is dead or not.
