In our attempt to review as many kits as possible in a single podcast episode, we've resorted to a plan that we think might work: using only three words to summarise each kit.

Are we crazy? Foolish? Just plain desperate to innovate? The answer to all three is probably 'yes', but either way, we give you our snappy views of all the new national team kit releases from the past few weeks, along with some random haiku thrown in for free.

There's also our take on the England kit controversy, and what the switch from Adidas to Nike could mean for the German national team. Plenty to get through, as ever, and you're welcome to join us...

As the years roll by, many football kits are forgotten about because they're just plain mediocre. Well not on this podcast! We're the sort of people that celebrate mediocrity because, you see, mediocrity doesn't necessarily mean 'terrible.' Usually it does, but not always...

Anyway, to sharpen our focus, we've decided to go back to the 1999-2000 Premier League season to pick out our most forgotten examples of kit mediocrity, with an additional casual glance at Euro 2000. We've reviewed the kits from many major tournaments and competitions down the years, but never the 1982 World Cup. In this episode, we aim to put that right as we pick out the best from FIFA's 12th quadrennial outing.

There's also a big stack of news featuring teams wanting to change their kit, change their logo and, in one particular case, change the concept of a singular fourth kit. It all gets a bit meta, but luckily there's always the subject of childhood toys to fall back on. And crisps.
