  • The COVID Colts, Early Looks at Weeks 13, 14 & 15, Analyzing the 53-Man Roster, and Injury Updates
    Sep 6 2021

Welcome to another episode of the Casual Colts Podcast, covering all things Indianapolis Colts with William E. Ricks. We start by discussing the Colts' low vaccination rates (still) and talk about why it could derail their season. Many key players are not vaccinated against COVID-19, which means they could have more severe consequences if they come in close contact with an infected player or catch the coronavirus themselves compared to fully vaccinated players. We dive into that sticky situation right off the bat!

We also preview Weeks 13, 14, AND 15 in our regular season preview series! Will Indy rebound after two straight losses, or will the losing streak continue. Also, is Carson Wentz going to return at all? Make sure to tune in to find out!

The 53-man roster is out, and we discuss some of the things that caught my eye about the depth chart. How solid does the roster look, and is it enough to have a successful season. Is there enough depth where a positive COVID case won't leave the squad at a severe disadvantage? We also cover the latest injury developments on the team and discuss who will need to step up as these players are rehabbing. There is so much to get to, so come kick with The Casual Colts for a jam-packed episode!

  • The Colts' Vaccination Concerns, Early Look at Weeks 3 & 4, and Marlon Mack is the forgotten X-Factor
    Jul 26 2021

In this episode of the Casual Colts podcast, we talk about the Colts having one of the lower COVID-19 vaccination rates in the NFL and how that could impact how they maneuver through a tough 2020 regular-season schedule. Should Indy try to meet the league's recommended 85% vaccination threshold with training camp creeping up?

We continue our early regular-season preview series, looking at Weeks and 4 of the Colts' schedule. They go the road against a sworn division rival in the Tennessee Titans and face an AFC dark horse with a rising defense in the Miami Dolphins. Can the Colts get through the first four weeks of the 2021 season with a 4-0 record?

Lastly, we talk about Marlon Mack and how he's been a forgotten man in the Colts' talented running back room. We analyze what he's done up to this point in his career and how his return to Indy complements rising star Jonathan Taylor and swiss army knife Nyheim Hines. The Mack attack could be the x-factor and the final piece to complete Indianapolis's running back puzzle.
