  • The pain train is right on schedule this week, as Jon digs... not very deep in the database to find a few hands that illuminate an important topic in poker: how to bet/fold and raise/fold.

    It's not a difficult concept to understand... you think you can take down the pot with a bet or a raise, but, if the villain should somehow not fall for our lies and shenanigans, you've got to know the jig is up and not chase good money after bad.

    But when exactly are these scenarios, and just because villain doesn't kick rocks like we want them to, does that always mean we're checking or folding to further action?
