  • Ep. 42 - Spinal Tap
    Apr 1 2024

    You asked for it.

Then you asked for it again.

Then we forgot about it, and had you remind us.

Then our hearing wasn't the best, so we went to the audiologist to get that checked out and see what was going on.

Then we realized there was a lot of wax up there, so we had that cleaned out, and asked you to repeat it one more time.

So here it is, the episode you've been waiting on...

    This is...SPINAL TAP...the episode.

Join us as we embark on a tour of drummers, Stonehenge, beed with Metallica, and some other weird things that we're sure might cause issues with the Geneva Convention.

And as usual, hit the Follow/Subscribe button. Parley Radio - Where Evidence Faces the Music.

  • Ep. 41 - Shania Twain
    Mar 25 2024

Let's go, girls...and guys...and those with other specified or unspecified genders.

The Canadian beauty queen herself, SHANIA TWAIN, is the focus of today. Join Jay and Devin as they discuss Shania's crazy sales, odd choice in husbands, immediately apologizing over a Tweet that came across as a former President's endorsement, and so much more!

Plus - Does Jay ever pronounce "Canada" correctly, or has the world been wrong this entire time?

Don't be a hoser, tune in, eh!

  • The Filler Episode w/Jay and Devin
    Mar 1 2024

    We don't know either.

This week, our scheduled recording got shifted due to life events, so we just decided to make weird and talk about a few things.

Jay and Devin reflected upon our Traps episode released a year ago with our friend Justin from CHEER UP DUSTY, the finer points of Marvel Studios, and various half-hearted promotional tactics that sure as hell won't work.

We're Parley Radio - we're so sorry you had to listen to this.

  • Ep. 40 - Lady Gaga (w/Drew Scarlet)
    Feb 16 2024
Hello, Little Monsters! I think we had more fun doing this episode than previously expected. We welcomed our pal DREW SCARLET to the show to cover one of his absolute favorites in LADY GAGA - the reawoken incarnation of what it means to be a pop star. Join us as we explore whether or not she’s performed at the AVN’s, how to pronounce “David Bowie,” Taylor Lautner never posing nude, John’s mom keeping all of his hair to herself, and the Pokemon evolution between Ariana Grande, Gaga, and Madonna. We also ask that you check out the Born This Way Foundation at the link below, Gaga’s charity started with her mother that focuses on youth mental health. We’re very passionate at Parley Radio about mental health, so please look into them as your next charitable donation. • Ep. 39 - Doja Cat
    Feb 2 2024

Have you ever wondered what breed of cat she is?

Or if she said what she said was really making her famous instead?

Well, you're in luck, because this week, we cover the Moo girl herself - DOJA CAT!

Find out why she's a cow, a b****, a troll, and doesn't understand pejoratives enough to be concerning.

Also, a plug for some bands you should check out in the very beginning of the episode!

  • Ep. 38 - Paramore
    Jan 18 2024
We're back after a long break to discuss a band that appears to be currently on break, which is breaking all of our hearts - PARAMORE. With every new season and new episodes, we have to look at weird ways to express ourselves, like being a hype DJ to present the most depressing songs possible, or ranting about B.o.B. being a flat-Earth conspiracy theorist. Either way, we're delighted to be back and discussing the dad-manager band known as Haley Williams and Support...er, I mean Paramore! Tune in and find out why. • Ep. 37 - Slipknot (w/Brian Komatz of PLASTIC FLAMINGOS)
    Oct 20 2023

SLIPKNOT is a way to tie a rope.

And it’s the band we’re covering today for our final Simply THE FEST episode as part of our marathon.

We state it in the intro, and we state it on the show - our guest this week is fitting because they’re in the same band as our very first guest on our show, so we’re very excited to have BRIAN KOMATZ or PLASTIC FLAMINGOS here with us this week.

Tune in and find out why the band has no Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, why claymation is insanely amazing, how Fred Durst studied film under David Fincher, and so much more.

ADDITIONALLY, as you’ll hear in the top of the episode, we recorded an episode with KNIVES, a Florida based band, and unfortunately, the audio wasn’t good enough to understand most of the conversation on the band’s end, so we had to scrap the episode. We still want to make sure they get plugged, so their info will be posted below along with Plastic Flamingos. Make sure you check them out, they’re a great band, and we will have them on in 2024.

Thank you to all of the Fest bands who came on, those that were unable to make it, and for the Fest Friends that have been checking out all of them. This has been a logistical nightmare, but an absolutely amazing time, and we can’t thank you enough.
