Though the squad failed to pick up the win, Jordan Hicks was dominant again on the hill for the San Francisco Giants as he posted a season-high nine strikeouts over six innings pitched. After the Pittsburgh Pirates took the lead on back-to-back home runs in the top of the 10th inning, Jorge Soler brought the Giants within one run after launching a bomb of his own over the left field fence. The San Francisco Giants will attempt to get back in the win column tomorrow in the rubber match of this three-game series.
