How do we know the real Gospel of Jesus from a convincing counterfeit? Who does the work of salvation? The Christian life is a life of ambition and courage; our ambition is not to please ourselves but to receive God's approval, his "well done, good and faithful servant." On the occasion of Pastor Matt's ordination, Bishop Charlie Masters opens up for us the glory of the Gospel for the Christian: we are a new creation through Christ who reconciles us to God. Being reconciled, the Gospel works through Christians as ambassadors for Christ as we implore others to be reconciled to God by grace through Christ. 8 June 2024.

Here we see Jesus recommissioning Peter by asking him the simple but weighty question, "do you love me more than these?" These is a question we all need to ask ourselves. Will we give up and endure anything to follow Jesus and are we tending to his sheep. If we try to do this on our own we'll fail. This is only possible through the Gospel.
