  • Episode 6: B-B-Better Start the BBC Broadcasts
    Mar 30 2024

In our new episode we talk all about the BBC Broadcasts, released a year ago in March 2023, and the first release from Concorde Music. We go disc by disc sometimes talking about specific songs, or about the grouping of songs for each tour. We talk about what we liked, our highpoints of the release, but also what we thought could have been improved upon, as well as what we hope to see for a future release. We end the episode with the drum bit, as Dan aka "Me" talks all about the drumming on "Home By The Sea."

On Disc One we talk about the special Wembley gig on the Lamb tour, and what songs of other albums were performed, and Dan was able to find a "Carpet Crawlers" performance.

And here is the complete show featuring "Watcher of the Skies" used on the BBC Broadcasts.

  • Episode 5: Stuff Going Out, Stuff Coming In
    Feb 29 2024

In our fifth episode of Me & Virgil: A Genesis Brother's Podcast, we take on and deconstruct Peter Gabriel's latest album, "i/o," giving our thoughts and feelings on the album as a whole, as well as going track by track through the entire album. We also talk about the various editions the album has been released in, giving their strengths and weaknesses, as well as our thoughts on how Mr. Gabriel initially released all the songs throughout 2023. We then give our favorites and least liked songs, a little more on the tour, and then on the promising new that Peter Gabriel has lots more material still to be released. We end the episode with the Drum Bit relating to this album, and what our next episode will be.

We reference a number of times throughout the episode about the videos Peter Gabriel released on YouTube related to each song that was released for the album, and you can find all those videos here: https://www.youtube.com/@itspetergabriel.

We would also like to thank the fantastic podcast Tabletop Genesis for providing so much inspiration for this episode.
