Matt Windle Poet by day and professional boxer by night, Matt ‘man’ Windle – Birmingham’s current Poet Laureate – is known as the ‘Poet with Punch.’

By day, Matt works both nationally and internationally in schools, prisons, PRU’s, care homes, businesses and various other establishments with the intention of inspiring people of all ages through poetry and creative writing.

He delivers sessions known as ‘Poetry with Punch’ which combine the two opposing outlets of poetry and boxercise in order to break stereotypes and to give people a voice through written and physical expression whilst by night, training at Henrietta Street gym for upcoming professional fights.
