Detroit Tigers lost to the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday afternoon at Progressive Field in Cleveland. Detroit Tigers Bullpen allowed a run in the 8th before Andrew Chafin surrendered a home run to David Fry in the 9th to tie the game and force extra innings. Cleveland Guardians won it in extra innings scoring a run off Tigers relief pitcher Alex Lange. With the loss, Detroit Tigers go 1-5 on the six game road trip. Reese Olson started the game on the mound for Detroit and turned in a nice outing tossing six innings allowing two runs, one of them earned, while striking out four but is still in search of his first win on the season. Detroit Tigers scored all four of their runs in the top of the fourth inning with Colt Keith delivering a 2-RBI single, Zach Mckinstry smashing a RBI double and Javy Baez driving home the fourth run for Detroit on a sac fly. Detroit Tigers return home for a weekend series against the Houston Astros.
