Miami’s Norchad Omier entered the transfer portal on Thursday. With North Carolina in the mix for other centers like Jonas Aidoo and Cliff Omoruyi, but having not landed one, it would make sense for the Tar Heels to at least make a phone call. Is there a possibility that Creighton’s Ryan Kalkbrenner might also enter the portal? If so, the Tar Heels should get right to work.

At power forward, Hubert Davis, along with Sean May, Brad Frederick, and Jeff Lebo were in Lexington on Thursday to meet with Adou Theiro. Will the Tar Heels be able to land him over Pitt? For small forward, Carolina is hopeful to land Cade Tyson, but Andrej Stojakovic and Koby Brea are also in the mix.

Reports from reputable sources CBS and Field of 68 confirm that RJ Davis will return for a fifth year at North Carolina. While it’s not enough yet to proclaim it from the mountaintops, it is enough to discuss what n RJ Davis return means and looks like for UNC. Seth Trimble is also back for UNC and the Tar Heels will have to figure out how to best deploy him. What is Trimble’s sweet spot? Davis and Trimble will form a loaded backcourt along with Elliot Cadeau and Ian Jackson.
