He recently committed to Arizona State University. His prior collegiate experience includes Northern Michigan & the University of Connecticut. He also played for Shattuck-Saint Mary's while in high school.

Obviously, this season didn't go according to plan for the New Jersey Devils. It led to a lot of people questioning Nico Hischier's leadership as a captain. Not only is Hischier a good leader but his impact was also felt. People should leave him alone because he actually had a productive season. Especially considering the fact that he missed nearly a month of action at one point.

The NHL Draft Lottery is scheduled for May 7th. The New Jersey Devils have the 10th best odds of landing the first overall pick. Obviously, the main goal for the Devils next season is to get back into the playoffs. A lot of people have been speculating about Tom Fitzgerald making a big move. But everybody seems to forget that the Devils have a valuable asset and that's their projected top-10 pick in this year's draft.

While on NHL Network a few weeks ago, Mike Rupp controversially said that the New Jersey Devils should pursue Brady Tkachuk. That's quite the take considering that Tkachuk is one of the best players on the Ottawa Senators and also their captain. He would definitely bring a lot more scoring and physicality.
