Little Life Big Loss

By: Rochelle Nicole Evrard
  • Summary

  • The most extreme form of bereavement is parental bereavement, I know firsthand of this pain, after losing my baby girl Milli at only 6 days old with no indication of complication prior to her birth. As the weeks passed & we were riding the tsunami of grief those around us expressed how useless they felt. They didn't know, we too, felt so useless. From Milli's life & death, this podcast was birthed. A space for family & friends to be educated with us. A safe space for loss parents to share their story of baby loss Support & join the conversation, more info: https://linktr.ee/rochelleanddylan

  • Karina - Rafael's mum. Donor sperm, testicular cancer, 40+6 stillbirth.
    May 21 2024

When Karina met her now husband Evan, they discussed on their first date the need for Evan to do IVF as he was diagnosed with testicular cancer at just 19 years old.

Told he only had a few weeks to live, they took fertility precautions but it did not work.

He survived, what a miracle! But has always known he would not be able to have his own children.

Karina talks of their journey to IVF donor sperm, travelling interstate (VIC. legalities) to an unexpected stillbirth at full term!

Rafi & Milli dancing together in heaven today! x

  • Bec - Archie’s story - short cervix - 22 weeks stillbirth
    Apr 28 2024

Wow what a story! Bec’s incredible strength - what her body has physically been through.

Birthing her baby Harrison in May and accidentally falling pregnant only 6 weeks later.

Her short cervix wasn’t able to hold her beautiful bubba Archie and her waters broke at around 21.5 weeks.

Bec talks so perfectly about how her 6 older children and step children are dealing with the grief, a grieving husband. How friends and family have done this well (and not so well)

Tips for midwives, a great OB, a beautiful funeral director - the list goes on.

This is an educational piece for everyone to listen to!

Thanks Bec, forever in our hearts, little Archie
