  • A Conversation With TayNZae
    Nov 11 2022

In this episode of Let's Chat and Jam we have A Conversation With TayNZae.

TayNZae, NJ’s hottest rap duo, dropped off ‘Pop Out’ this past weekend to stamp that they’re here and dont plan on letting up throughout Q4. Coming hot off the release of Shake That earlier in the summer, the duo keeps their fans laced up with new music. We got a chance to sit down and speak with the group to find out more about what went into the making of this record. Ignoring and blazing past competition as well as focusing all of their energy on bettering each other has always been one of their trade secrets to success. The group told us “We don’t have no competition but ourselves the goal is to work on our craft and better ourselves day by day at what ever it is we do, we always challenge our self to make the next song better than the last.” This can clearly be seen throughout the delivery and cadence of the track as the 2 bounce off each other effortlessly.  When we asked the duo about their target audiences for this release they mentioned that they are aiming for the stars for this one. Aiming the track at anybody who can relate with being ‘outside’ whatever that word means to you, this track is fit for the occasion. Focusing on the vibe that the track delivers to the audience more-so than anything else allows TayNZae to really hone in on the feeling the music provides. The track also details how to deal with adversaries with bars like “stop calling n****s yo gang if they don’t even claim you as gang n’em” this means that unless your team is going to show support to you than you shouldn’t be claiming them as your team/label mates.

  • A Conversation With CousinFloyd
    Nov 4 2022

In this episode of Let's Chat and Jam we have A Conversation With CousinFloyd.

CousinFloyd, from Barrie, Ontario. 32, born December 28, 1990 in Huntsville, Ontario.  I have a beautiful 5 year old daughter named Cedar and a wonderful girlfriend named Tallulah. They are kerosene to my fire. My reason for everything.

I started playing music at a young age on the saxophone in elementary school and always gravitated towards jazz music and eventually became a jazz drummer. I fell in love with jazz and punk rock. An odd combo for some but one I found to be my home. After high school I started playing in a few metal bands around Ontario and touring Canada with a band called Sons of Sirens. I currently play drums in a band called “New Demons” and I also sing in a punk band called “Twist Tie” and you can check us out on YouTube and Spotify and all major platforms!

I found a genuine love for acoustic music as well as classical music.

From where we started to where we are at!

The Block105 Radio was originally launched in 2019. As an all 90s and 2000s Hip Hop & RNB station. Its owner and founder, Former recording artist and Hip Hop Legend  R.E.C. bought the station originally just to have a radio station that played nothing but the 90s and 2000s classic bangers that he grew up on! Being from the old school, R.E.C. is not much of a fan of today's hip hop music or as he calls it "Mumble Rap", So instead of doing what everyone else does which is creating their own playlist of the music they like on their phone like any normal person would do... R.E.C. decided to take it a step further and purchase his own entire radio station! Fast-forward, "Welcome to THE BLOCK 105 RADIO"!

  • A Conversation With Hito Star
    Oct 19 2022

In this episode of Let's Chat and Jam we have A Conversation With dancer, singer, actress and Astrology Reader Hito Star.

    Her Story

As I grew up in my tiny hometown in Japan, I was always inspired by the great nature around my house. I naturally started to sing, dance and explore my creativities in mountains and gardens as a child.

I had a striking experience at age of 4 when I went to see first musical theater show. I was mesmerized by the professional energetic singing and dancing, and I was crying at the end of the show. That's when I decided I want to sing and dance in the rest of my life. Somehow, I felt like it is an agreement with the universe I am here to give back the great energy to the world.

I was always different from all the classmates in my small hometown deep in the mountain and was constantly wishing to fly to other countries and meet people from all over the world.

After I studied Voice and Dance many years in Japan,
I came to NYC. I have been living here for more than 10 years since then.

I fell in love with NYC. The city makes me feel so natural and strong. The city is filled with creative spirits and I love interacting with all the people who somehow ended up here. It reminds me how we are all uniquely created for each other, and the city teaches me to just to be myself. Just to be with my own expressions.
