Whether you’re brand new to the Bible, new to Christianity or have read it many times and are looking for a new perspective, I highly recommend this program. Father Mike spends a little bit of time explaining and giving his insight after each daily reading and he does it in a way that makes it personal and meaningful even when the reading is dense. The material is also structured in a timeline so that it can be read in a way that helps it make sense chronologically. At certain intervals there are episodes where Jeff Cavins comes and speaks with Father Mike to help introduce a new time period and they discuss the locations, civilizations and politics of the time to help orient the listener. They also highlight ahead of times things that will be important so that you can watch for them and better understand their significance. Listening to this program has given me a much better understanding of God and a closer relationship with Him. I am so very grateful that this is available to anyone and everyone and I am sure that I will come back and listen again.
