Flow 003 - An ode to the ‘fun old girls’, with Mohammed Saeed Harib

  • Summary

  • Mohammed Saeed Harib is an animator best known for being the creator and producer of the incredibly successful cartoon series ‘Freej’, (meaning “neighbourhood” in local dialect). It follows the lives of four gossiping grandmothers dressed in Bedouin face-masks who are trying to cope with the dramatic changes of 21st-century Dubai.

He also directed FREEJ FOLKLORE, the largest Arabic theatrical production in the region and is the founder of Lammtara Studios. Loreta has known Mohamed for many years and we take a trip down memory lane to find out how they first met and worked together. We so enjoyed our conversation with Mohammed, he was exceptionally open and honest about what motivated and drove him to create Freej in spite of the many years of struggling to get it off the ground. He also shares with us how he finds his flow.
