  • Ginger Rogers was an American actress, dancer, and singer. She is best known for her work in the film industry during the Golden Age of Hollywood. Rogers was born in Independence, Missouri in 1911. She began her career as a dancer, and eventually moved to Hollywood to pursue acting.

    Rogers starred in many successful films throughout the 1930s and 1940s, including "Top Hat", "Swing Time", and "Kitty Foyle". She was known for her incredible dancing ability and her on-screen chemistry with frequent co-star Fred Astaire. Rogers won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in "Kitty Foyle" in 1941.

    In addition to her work in film, Rogers also had a successful career on stage and television. She continued to perform into her 70s and was recognized with numerous awards and honors. Ginger Rogers passed away in 1995, at age 83.
