Dolly professed her innocence, but police were certain that she played a hand in Fred's death. What they did not expect to find, however, was that the killer was someone living secretly within their suburban home, and with whom Dolly had a disturbing relationship.

    On 21st December 1908 socialite Glasgow socialite Marion Gilchrist was found dead shortly after 7pm, after her maid Helen discovered her having been bludgeoned to death in the dining room.


    What would follow would be a case that would become one of the most contested in Scottish law, and one which would cast a lasting stain on the British judiciary system.

    In 1961 Michael Rockefeller, the son of the prominent politician and businessman Nelson Rockefeller, disappeared in the swamp of Papua New Guinea while collecting art for his father's New York museum. Dutch authorities who controlled Papua New Guinea at the time ruled Michael's disappearance a probable drowning, but the more likely cause of death was likely a lot more shocking.
