He was born in New York, studied transportation design at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and has worked as a designer for renowned companies such as BMW, the Coca-Cola Company, Gulfstream Aerospace and Ford. In 2015 he joined the Chinese start-up Next EV (NIO), where he currently holds the position of Vice President of Design at their Munich development studio.
