    May 26 2024
I first met Steve Schallhorn MD about 30 years ago when he was a cornea / refractive fellow at USC (University of Southern California) and I was a medical student. He has a fascinating background which includes a career as a Navy fighter pilot as well as Topgun instructor. He founded the department of defense refractive surgery program which has since grown to many locations and has treated thousands of patients. In this podcast we re-think refractive surgery targets and we learn from big data sets. You will learn why the old dogma of aiming for -0.50 is not great for patient satisfaction with distance vision. And so much more.
