  • Through The Eyes Of A Child: Adoption Finalization Ep: 27
    Mar 5 2021

Trying to see the world through the eyes of a child is full of adventure, curiosity, and wonder.

An airplane becomes a spaceship, taking off into a sea of stars. Flying into an undiscovered galaxy, with the anticipation of discovering the unknown.

A vacuum cleaner automatically transforms into a giant robot sucking up everything in its path.

A snowstorm is a dancing wonderland, with promises of fresh doughnuts, hot chocolate and endless castles to be built.

These were some of the things we saw through the eyes of our children on our recent ‘round the world’ trip to the United States. As a couple, we have been on countless airplanes and seen incredible places over the years. But traveling with our children, as a whole family, turned this particular trip into a beautiful memory that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We were blessed to share such a sweet time together. During our trip, our five Ugandan children became US Citizens and had many new and exciting experiences.

Join us for today’s new podcast episode where we share about our recent travels, and some of the encouraging and funny moments we shared along the way.  Also, we talk about our adoption immigration appointment, and why we made the decision to not swear an oath during our adoption proceedings.  Instead opting to affirm, which is a verbal, and formal declaration.
