• Why do we love change?
    Nov 17 2023
For this week, I am done. Like literally borederline mental breakdown every five minutes because life is not hitting as it should. So, I wanted to talk about change, and no but money change but rather change within our lives. As someone who craves change every five minutes, this topic took an interesting turn for me as I discuss the how to factor between the desperation to start over that may become irrational vs the need to stay stagnant. It is easy to stay in the same place for many months, or even years, but how can we really know if that place is serving us correctly. So join me in diving into this.

  • Book Quotes
    Nov 10 2023
Happy Friday and welcome back to yet another episode from my corner of the world. As always I will use any chance I can find to talk about one of my dearly beloved hobbies - reading. Reading is something that has helped me in many ways possible, and there is yet to be a day where I am not left awe struck by a book that I have read. So, for this week I wanted to look at some of my all time favourite quotes from this years top picks - I hope to make this a yearly thing so strap in - and I will dissect not only my interpretation of them but also what those quotes have to me in that moment. In proper belle fashion, this episode is yet to be finished so I’ll see you next week with more. ‘Till next Friday.

  • Smoking
    Nov 3 2023
For this week, I wanted to talk about a topic that I’ve sort of struggled to speak this openly about for many years. I think, as with many people, we are all mourning the loss of Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing) as Friends is such an influential show. Growing I’ve related more and more to Chandler, especially his more troubling issues that come with his character - such as his prevalent smoking addiction. I wanted to bring to light my own story with smoking and I’ve struggled over the years while also talking about the negative impacts from it and from what others think of you.

  • What am I doing?
    Oct 27 2023

Belles Corner is back and better than ever. This Friday, I wanted to talk about how lately I've felt like I no longer have a purpose or driving force within my life. Lately I've been searching for something that will push me forward and allow for me to feel as if all that I'm doing will be worth it one day. But I haven't. So join me as I debate about going from schooling system to full time work, and how we as humans put far too much pressure on ourselves to be something greater.

  • Dehumanising Celebrities
    Jun 8 2023
For this weeks episode, I’m looking at the normalisation of dehumanising celebrities. Celebrities are something that are so wholly engrossed in our day to day lives that we have become somewhat accustomed to their eccentric lifestyle and lavish living that is portrayed on social media. But through that sense of normality with them, I have seen a higher influx in hating on celebrities and expecting unrealistic standards from them that we have now been led into a time of dehumanising them. I look at the supposed first ever celebrity so that I might understand the difference between these two lifestyles of old and modern.
