  • Coming back to Christianity with Frances Pratt
    Jun 15 2024

In this episode of the podcast, we are joined by Frances Pratt, sharing her experience of coming back to Christianity after moving away from it when she left home, through exploring different paths during her 20's and 30's, and what inspired her to make the decision in her mid 40's to return to the church.

This is an interesting conversation, because while Frances made that decision, her husband did not (and they are still happily married).

Some of the points we talked about:

    • Communication and conversations with loved ones who share different beliefs and how it affects family dynamics
    • Delving into her personal journey back to Christianity after realising the significance of faith in her life and the desire to introduce her kids to Jesus and core Christian values.
    • Being part of a church community and personal growth and the importance of finding the right church community where one feels safe, connected, and spiritually nourished.
    • Embracing imperfections and acknowledging mistakes as part of the human experience, and what it is to know the unconditional love of God

I hope you enjoy this conversation.

Brad Yates, known internationally for his creative and often humorous use of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), joins us for this episode to share with us what we can do when we are in the midst of a challenge in life, what hope with substance looks like - and the importance of having hope, taking action and maintaining a positive outlook through all of life's experiences.

How acts of faith, builds on faith, even in challenging times.

Reflecting on gratitude as a transformative practice and source of strength, and how being grateful during the tough times creates the space for being grateful in the great times.

Practicing self-compassion and self-love especially during difficult situations.

How being proactive and taking action builds resilience and trust and confidence in yourself.

Giving yourself permission to be imperfect.

The incredible power of connection with others to help us feel better.
