The year was 2003. 16 year old Martha Puebla was killed outside of her home at close range. 3 months later Juan Catalan would be arrested for this murder. The only problem with this was....HE WAS COMPLETELY INNOCENT! The authorities had a solid theory that Juan killed Martha because she had previously cooperated with police for a murder his brother DID commit and she was killed to silence her. But like we said earlier ....JUAN WAS COMPLETELY INNOCENT!

Juan was with his 6 year old daughter at a Dodger game the night of the murder. But PROVING this would be almost impossible. With a lot of luck , perseverance from his determined attorney, HBO, and Larry David (yes, Larry David from 'Curb your Enthusiasm" ) Juan was able to beat this atrocious case.
