  • 【小学館の名作文芸朗読】 美術学校の教授で犬好き、あだ名は「犬先生」。猫好きの「私」のあだ名は「猫先生」だ。戦前、2人は「梅ヶ枝」という小料理屋で酔った勢いで犬と猫のどちらが優れているか熱弁をふるっていた。しかし戦禍に見舞われ小料理屋もなくなり、その後猫を飼い始めたという犬先生の消息も分からなくなってしまう。そんな折、「私」は猫にまつわる不思議な体験をするのだった……。
