The story, the way it is written is beautiful. I felt like I couldn't truly feel their heartbreaks. Many moments I can relate to in my life. We all have a bit of whiskey in our life's right?! Some stories don't have the same ending but the point is, this book made me remember the "what if, my whisky. I cried, I laughed, I got mad, my heart shattered with them. Absolutely beautiful story, letter, love ever!

Thank you for the duet!! Ok, 'B' is a MESS. So frustrating, the way 'B' pined for Jaime like a lap dog. She began the story with a sort of passive-aggressive self-serving personality, to the people in her life. She had issues from the gate. 'B' truly deserved to be taken advantaged of with how she allowed Jaime to manipulate her from the start. She was dirty for cheating w/ Jaime while she was with Ethan. Jaime strung her along & she gladly, pathetically followed. I don't care how hot he was, his personality & behavior was sh1t, which made him ugly.
Then, how the tables turned. He caught feelings & she pumped the breaks. OMG, the back & forth, back & forth, back & forth. Obsession. Timing never right? True Love Story. First POV is by 'B', second POV is by Jaime. With all the insanity in their relationship, it ended with a HEA! This story gives all the feels, a coming of age! Absolutely Phenomenal 😍. Narration IS Exceptional. The perfect narrators were chosen & gave such a performance. Loved the multicultural aspect (BWWM). Loved the characters. This is my second time listening to this audiobook, but the first time in this duet style. Totally worth buying again for duet style. Well done Kandi! This is one of my all-time favorites 😍 ❤️. Don't EVER make this into a movie, it will take away from the perfection of the book. 🫶🏾

This book had me in a chokehold from the beginning! I love how Jamie was whiskey. So beautiful and raw. To putting feelings aside for your friends and the years of friendship always finding their way back to each other 🫶🏼 first book of 2026. Will recommend to all my bookworms.
