She’s done it again!

The performers did incredible! Beautiful story, brought to life by their voices. You can feel every single emotion that Jennifer is trying to convey with her words.

This book, while still containing trauma, it’s lighter than some of her other work, but she’s proven yet again why she’s my favorite author by moving me to tears, laughter, swooning, squealing, and everything in between. She has the ability to make her characters and their back story, so relatable even if you’ve never even been through a remotely similar experience.

Moulin Rouge themes throughout the story had my giddy and playing songs from the movie, on repeat!

Wow, that’s all I can say. Jennifer Hartmann is one of my automatic buy authors. I have loved every book I’ve ever read by her. This book was no different. This book made me smile, cry sad tears, cry happy tears, and everything in between. Jennifer is Ana amazing story teller. She knows exactly how to warm your heart and shatter it. I can’t wait to listen to this book over and over again. This has been one of the best reads of the 2025 so far for me. Don’t miss out on this book, you won’t be disappointed.

Dramatic love

Loved this story so much! The characters development and progress was wonderful even though I wanted to smack the ML a few times. I like how the story put a light on some of the issues children are going and have gone through in Hollywood and how they need to be protected.

Both of the readers for this story were fantastic and engaging. They really brought the characters to life.

But as they play pretend for the cameras, old wounds reopen, and the line between what’s scripted and what’s real starts to blur.

This wasn’t my favorite Jennifer Hartmann’s book, but I still liked and enjoyed it! It had a different vibe than her other stories, but in a good way and still was emotional, romantic, heartbreaking. Actually, it was slightly less traumatizing than some of her other books, not that I mind emotional rollercoasters, I love them!

However, I found her latest story to be more of a conventional romance, featuring the familiar trope of a farm girl falling for a Hollywood boy. It included elements like friends-to-lovers, forced proximity, fake dating, and miscommunication. And it felt more like cheap TV series.

The narrators, Angelina Rocca and Lee Samuels, deliver with clarity and confidence, speaking in a steady, engaging tone that brings the story to life. Their voices carry energy and strength, never wavering, and perfectly match the intensity of the narrative. Each word is infused with determination, reflecting and amplifying the author’s own powerful voice.

New fav!!

I feel like every time I review a new Jennifer Hartmann book I say it’s my new favorite. Is it even possible for her to write a book that isn’t 5 stars? This was such a great story, and I glad I went in completely blind on what it was even about. Absolutely devoured it. Lex and Stevie are my new favorite JH characters, I was sad when it was over. I LOVE how she touched on the realism of the dark side of Hollywood, and wrote it very tactfully. Well done Jennifer! Once again a new top favorite book!! Angelina Rocca and Lee Samuels did an amazing job! Angelina was the perfect narrator for Stevie!

No surprise here—Jennifer Hartman absolutely nailed this book. It was such an emotional, powerful read, and the audiobook made it even better. I truly loved every moment and highly recommend it. I can’t wait to dive into more of her books!

I was a little worried when I heard this was a YA novel. but I trusted my gut and knew Jennifer wouldn't let me down. and she didn't! great story. love love love
