One of the subject matters of this story, young boys dressed up as women, prostituted to men in clubs, is very difficult to endure but the overall mystery/thriller is captivating. The story has a Ripper like villain on the streets of NY.

Excellent story , holds many different perspectives on the killer and how he is to be found. Shows the corruption in the city government that limited the work that good people wanted to do. Shows the human side of the underbelly in the city and that those people count too. Very methodical way to go about finding a killer.
