A pregnancy she didn’t plan. A man she didn’t expect.

After heartbreak drove her across the ocean, Nova Thatcher thought London would give her the fresh start she so desperately needed. But between her mother’s passing, the weight of her own depression, and a pregnancy she never saw coming, Nova is barely keeping her head above water. Her new job as social media manager for The Hands rugby team was supposed to be her lifeline, but it’s hard to focus when her world is falling apart.

Then there’s Oliver Stone—the brooding backs assistant coach who seems more annoyed than impressed with her viral content. He’s the last person she ever imagined leaning on, but when her loneliness becomes unbearable, Oliver steps in. He sees through her bravado, offering a steady hand and a safe place to land when she needs it most.

Nova thought she was destined to face it all alone. Oliver thought he’d sworn off love for good. But when two broken people find each other in the most unexpected way, maybe it’s not about being ready—it’s about being brave enough to reach for a second chance.

This is a story about finding the strength to ask for help and the love that can pull you back from the edge.

My heart is so happy! I'm so happy Nova received her space to be in her trauma and live through it to be in a healthy and happy space. The writing for Nova and Ollie's story is just beautiful. You can tell the emotions Vee felt while writing were heavy and healing.

I'm so sad because I know we are one story closer to the end of this series.

PS. The little snips we get from Austin as well are just like little pieces of candy - can't wait for his story next.
Updated to add that the story comes even more alive when enjoyed by audio. The Blue Nose team cast this group so well - Ollie has just the perfect tone.

Beautiful, emotional, heavy and perfect

Your Second Chance is a book about new beginnings, friendship, and devotion. Nova has lived through hell with her addict ex and then the death of her mother, so she decides to pack up and move overseas to take over the social media pages for a rugby team. Her best friend Luna is right by her side through everything and follows Nova to help her start her new life. When they arrive to their new home, they realize their duo is becoming a trio when they find out Nova is pregnant. Deciding to keep her pregnancy a secret, Nova starts her new job with the team and meets grumpy Oliver. Ollie is immediately intrigued with Nova for some reason and when he hears her being sick the bathroom, his golden retriever side kicks in and he has to take care of her. Both of them weren’t looking for anything, but they turn out to be what each other was missing in their lives ❤️

Nova was in a very dark place dealing with anxiety attacks and depression. And then adding the pregnancy to the mix really turns her world upside down. Ollie was completely smitten and started pursuing her, trying to do anything to be in her life. Even after he finds out she’s pregnant, he is still 100% in to having a relationship with her. He was so giving, nurturing, patient, and completely devoted to Nova and her little girl which made my heart melt 🥰 And I loved the fact that he accepted the close friendship between Nova and Luna, making sure Luna was their as well through everything going on in their lives.

The audiobook was duet narrated and it was fantastic! Ramona Master was so good at portraying the emotionally broken Nova, bringing her insecurities out with her performance. James Cassidy’s performance was outstanding! British accent was swoon worthy and he really brought out the love and emotions Ollie had. This was my first book from this author, and I’ll definitely be checking out more of their work! I definitely recommend you check out this book ❤️

Devoted MMC 🥰

Hey everybody, I’m looking at another audiobook review today. We are talking about book 4 in the ravens hockey series. That is your second chance this is nova and Ollie story. I will say this is gonna be a little bit of a spoiler warning so if you have not read the third book, your biggest downfall, then there are spoilers ahead because this book picks up right after your biggest downfall with nova. So I was absolutely in love with Ollie throughout this story. I thought he was the perfect type of character to come in and try to help pick up the broken pieces of nova because of everything that happened between nova and Austin in your biggest downfall obviously she is afraid of getting hurt again because of everything Austin did through our relationship so she tries to push Ollie away but he’s completely infatuated with her so he continuously tries to make her see that he’s generally a good person and generally wants to be with her. Nova throughout all of this is very skeptical about getting with Ollie because it is a workplace relationship and she doesn’t want the same thing that happened between her and Austin to happen between her and Ollie because if you remember her and Austin were also a workplace relationship. So she is very much on the defensive for a good majority of the book. I will say I think about the time that she meets all his parents is when she starts to open more up to the idea of potentially being in a relationship with Ollie and being with him. This book is narrated and duet by the amazing voices of James Cassidy, He portrays Ollie and Ramona Masters comes back to portray nova. They both do such an amazing job narrating this book. I have talked previously about Ramona and how I thought she did an amazing job betraying nova and she brings at the same type of energy back into this book, then James Cassidy is just an amazing narrator in everything that he does. I absolutely love getting to listen to his voice, he brings the same type of energy to every book and he just always knocks it out of the park because of that!

Nova deserves her HEA 🖤🖤

This is the story Nova deserved! With the way the previous book ended I was hopeful that nova would finally catch a break. This woman had been through so much and it just kept piling on. Her new life could not have come at a better time for her. Daddy Luna! She is hilarious but also such a great friend! She held nova up through so many things everyone deserves a friend like Luna. Ollie! Oh Ollie. The world needs more Ollie’s. A man who supports a woman he barely knows, is there for her through the hardest time in her life and shows up EVERY TIME! He was always so positive and knew the right thing to say always! Nova was so determined to push Ollie away but he was persistent!

I loved Austin’s redemption. The two of them needed their story to happen to both make changes for themselves. While it was heartbreaking the end result was beautiful. The growth Austin showed in this book, giving the man who raised his daughter the recognition and validation he gave Ollie was so beautiful. This story healed my broken heart for Nova in Austin.

This story was beautiful and I highly recommend you to read it. If you’re looking for accidentally pregnancy, starting over, mental health representation, single mom and a man who always steps up give this book a chance! I’m so happy Nova has the family she always deserved

Now a moment for the audio! The audio was pure perfection! Ramona Master was once again a fantastic Nova. She was able to really portray her character flawlessly. James Cassidy with a British accent….. Absolutely amazing! Fantastic job! He really brought Ollie to life. I don’t think there could have been a better narrator for Ollie
