A good read.

Not as deep as Helmet For My Pillow or With The Old Breed, but still an interesting collection of stories about the experiences of a young Marine in WW2. The afterward section at the very end has a few odd moments though.

Wonderful

One of my favorite books of ever listen to. I honestly wish it was twice as long.

Emotionally Uplifting

So delightful! I am tempted to start listening all over again. The final chapter should be etched in granite.

You'll Be Sor-ee

A tipical story of the Korean War, but I would still recommend it to others.

Interesting recollection of an amazing Marine

Good book, well narated. Bit more light hearted than with the old breed or helmet for my pillow. Did not like the author's opinion on evolution at the end. Totally unrelated to subject of book. lost a star for it.
