Best book I have listened to in months!

Skilled and well written.
Suspenseful with many twists and turns. Could not put it down.
Narrators are excellent at portraying the protagonist. I recommend this exciting psychological
Thriller.
Bravo!

It was great!!!

WOW!! What a ride that was!!
I'm pretty sure there wasn't one moment in this whole book that wasn't full of some kind of action going on!
All i can say is, go into it blind! Don't read the blurb, don't do anything. Just buy this book and start listening. I don't think i would have ever figured this one out. If someone tells you they did, well, they really didn't.

Narrators: Wonderful job!! Each character had their own distinct voice. And the New York accents, spot on!

Not like their other books

I really anticipated this book because I loved and have listened to Wife Between Us and Anonymous Girl multiple tones. This is a flop though. It drags on with no discernible plot and it’s back story until the final chapter then wraps up unrealistically fast like a bad CSI episode. The main character is weak and meek and unlikable. I do not recommend.

Fun story!

Interesting plot that kept my interest. It’s similar to their other mystery/thrillers.
There is a glitch in chapter 30 at 4:44 it seems to miss a few line since the words jump around. I called to report it but since no one else complained they seen to think it was my download.
I’d recommend for what it is.

Something different

I really liked that this book had a different premise than most of the mystery/thriller’s I’ve listened to. It had great narration and a cast of female characters mostly up to no good. It was different and I enjoyed it very much

So BAD

Nowhere near as good as the other books by these authors. I can’t believe it took two people to write this. Nothing happens! Soooo boring. Narrators are good but that’s the only good thing I can say about this book.

Very Clever Thriller set in New York

The hero of the story and the one we relate to is Shay Miller, socially awkward, alone in New York City, down on her luck, but also clever, analytical and tenacious. Above all, she is in need of friends.

After the shock of witnessing a suicide on the subway, Shay is befriended by the socially well-connected Moore sisters Cassandra and Jane, and their circle of friends: Stacey, Daphne, Beth and Valerie. They seem to want to be supportive to Shay, but they also appear to be hiding a secret or two.

The plot was carefully crafted by the authors. There are no flat bits, revelations keep appearing at regular intervals. The authors help the listener through the complexity of the plot, and the various relationships, by subtly giving us reminders of what has already happened and who is who, so we don't get lost. Events move quickly in the last couple of chapters - be ready to focus at that point.

This is not a police drama, it's about a woman in jeopardy having to work to save herself from a threat, in true Hitchcock style.

In the epilogue, the authors point to three clues that they already gave us, so that we should have known the outcome already. (I confess I missed two of them.)

A really good thriller, I recommend it 100%.

(At the time of writing, there are two versions of this book apparent on the Audible website. This version is OK, the other version has a few seconds missing at the end of the last chapter!)

Fantastic Listen Clever and Addictive Thriller

I love these two authors all of their three books have been great. They produce such different and interesting storylines that are always believable. The characters they create and so well drawn and always feel so real and the narrators do great justice to the books they narate. This book is very clever it starts with a suicide witnessed by Shay who gets drawn into the reason why, this in turn leads her to the charismatic Moore sisters who appear to offer her friendship and opportunities to further her career and find better accommodation. When the reasons behind this largese start to become evident the story really takes off and the listener sees a whole new side of all of the characters. This is such an unusual plot and I loved every minute of it. I can't wait for the next book by these fab authors.

WOW no.3

Fascinatingly convoluted and wonderfully entertaining this story would make a good film. Whether or not a film is made I will be reading whatever GH and SP write in the future and fully expect the same quality writing

Save your credit

I found this predictable / boring. I didn’t like / believe in any of the characters - it felt like something that had been written by a 13-year-old asked to write an adult thriller without actually understanding what life is really like as an adult and how things work in the world. A complete waste of a credit. One of the narrators is dreadful. Monotone and condescending. She sounds like the narrator from Desperate Housewives. Just a big No from me on this one.
