Yoga Life by Brett made ancient yoga principles feel accessible and easy to understand. She takes ideas that normally feel complicated and turns them into something simple, grounded, and actually usable in real life. For the first time, I feel like I truly understand the deeper tenets of yoga, not just the poses but the philosophy, the healing, and how to balance myself on and off the mat.
Her PDF guide has been incredibly helpful. I love how clearly she breaks down each pose and explains exactly how to get into them. The breathing techniques section is honestly one of my favorite parts. She presents everything in such a simple, doable way that I can actually incorporate it into my routine without feeling overwhelmed. Her voice is soothing and she reads at an appropriate cadence which I appreciate. I finally feel like I can create a yoga practice tailored to my highest good, and that feels amazing.
This book was exactly what I needed.

I hated this at first. I struggled with the peppy, cheerleader sound of the author reading her book. But I hung in there and got past it. The actual content is good and laid out well. Explained yoga concepts in a today-relevant way. Maybe a bit heavy on mom-talk for me, but still a worthy listen.

It got better!
