Publisher's summary

One night was all it took for everything to change. From college student to guardian in a single breath. My siblings became my world.

No time for date nights or romantic dreams. I traded quiet weekends for sleepless nights. Giving my all to make sure they were cared for.

But Griffin had a brokenness that called to me - one that mirrored my own. Gruff and just a little bit reckless. He was the last thing I needed. But everything I wanted.

Only someone isn’t happy about this new life I’m building. Deciding to set fire to everything I hold close. And when the smoke clears, there might be only ashes left behind....

Emotional and Heartfelt!

atherine Cowles has written another amazing, heartfelt story! Wrecked Palace is book 3 in the Wrecked Series. This audiobook is narrated by Joe Arden and Ava Erickson. (one click narrators!) In this book, we finally get Caelyn's story, and it doesn't disappoint.

Caelyn became the legal guardian of her three younger siblings when she was just 21 years old. Her parents were wrapped up in drug dealing, and she was determined to keep her family together. Years passed and Caelyn's love for her siblings has made her an strong independent woman. Griffin suffered tragedy losing most of his family and has come to find solace on the island restoring an old farm house. Some unexpected twists bring them together and will leave your heart swooning.

Joe Arden and Ava Erickson's voices compliment each other so well as Griffin and Caelyn! Joe portrays Griffin as this strong, masculine man, with a tragic past. Ava's emotional performance of Caelyn went straight to my heart! Both narrators truly captured this beautiful and intense story!

Catherine Cowles has created a wonderful little world to get lost in, in the Wrecked Series! Each character's stories has left a lasting, memorable impression! I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!

I loved Caelyn and Griffin’s story

This audiobook brought the story to life in a way I never could have imagined. I felt all the emotions and teared up with Caelyn a few times. Ava Erickson and Joe Arden did a phenomenal job making me feel everything and with the kids’s voices.

This book captured me and immersed me in a world I didn’t want to leave. I felt so connected to so many pieces of this book I had to remind myself that I didn’t need to sneak around my house because my kids weren’t sleeping like Caelyn’s siblings in the book. I felt the pain of loss, fear, joy, carefree times all while reading which brought it all to life.and Growly Griffin oh man that guy I liked already because of his being in the right place at the right time in the other books but as Caelyn slowly wears him down and feels protective over Caelyn and the kids you just can’t help but fall for him. He is my favorite hero Catherine Cowles has written and I won’t give him up.

Wonderful and Emotional Romance!!

“Everything I see in you challenges me to do better, to be better. To not run away from life because I was hurt in the past. I want this with you. I don't know for sure where it will lead but I want to find out.”⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

This slow building, friends to lovers romance with the perfect amount of suspense was a heartbreakingly beautiful story of opening up to love and finding the one that makes the risk worth it all. Catherine has the ability to not only weave a beautiful story that gets me absolutely addicted, but she also hooks me on side characters, leaving me clambering for their story and needing to find out what makes them tick. I needed Griffin’s story from the first glimpse of him in the series and OH BOY do I love him even more now. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

A grumpy, broody hero with a heart of gold, it was easy to become completely smitten with Griffin and only fall more in love with him throughout the story. He experienced this unthinkable tragedy at a young age and was jaded by the media, but he was the perfect match for Caelyn’s caring and sensitive heart. I loved that the story unfolded with them building a friendship based on the mutual need to protect and care for Caelyn’s siblings, eventually turning their friendship and attraction into a forever love.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

“Love is the most terrifying jump you'll ever make but I promise you it's worth it.”⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

Caelyn is such a strong and selfless woman, raising her siblings and putting herself second to make sure they never felt like a burden. I loved her dedication and want to be everything for them but also loved the way Griffin stepped up for her and the kids without hesitation, cementing that his cold heart was ready for love and family again. There was no way I couldn’t fall in love with this story, Griffin and Caelyn’s romance was all consuming, a love that left me with a smile on my face and a happy heart.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

The narration for this audiobook was stellar, the perfect casting to match Griffin and Caelyn’s personalities, both adding the light hearted love and laughter of the children. I can’t wait for the rest of the Anchor Island series!

Wrecked Palace

Ahh another hit, I tend to go into these books knowing they are going to make me emotional. I wasn’t wrong, both of these characters have pasts that will break your heart.

Caelyn has become guardian to her three younger siblings and is making the best of it. No one could love them more than she does.

Griffin has tragedy in his past and he isn’t ready to trust anyone for any reason but something about Caelyn sucks him in. I love that it was subtle that you would assume these two would be together. It felt authentic.

With this many characters I always fear it won’t translate but this author not only remembers them in scenes. But it makes it easy for you to distinguish who they are. They all have their own personalities and it's fun to listen to.

It really is a great story of second chances and finding love when you're not looking for it. The kids also find out just what fighting for family means.

Love the narration and that's saying something because Joe isn’t my favourite of the male narrators but he does a great job without going over the top. Ava is perfection!

My last Cowles book.

This story starts out really well with a brooding hero and a sweet and resourceful heroine, great family dynamics and adorable kid antics that are entertaining and heartwarming. Caelyn and Griffin form a relationship and find a soft place to fall in each other but the author introduces poorly written and clichéd drama that derails the relationship and quickly turns the story into a farce. This is my third Catherine Cowles book and it’s my last. It’s obvious she has an established formula that is predictable, poorly executed and even ridiculous since this heroine is discovered by the killer when she drops her cell phone out of the tree she’s hiding in when she has a secure high tech safe room in Griffin’s house. And the story goes downhill from there. I listened to the audiobook version and the only thing that got me through was the narration performances of Joe Arden and Eva Erickson.

Fantastic

This is one of my favorites. Catherine has a way of bringing everything together. I love the friendship first and that it took place over months.

I can't wait to read Avas story, I hope that's the plan when she gets older.

This was just WOW! Loved it.

The best of Catherine’s books so far! I’m sure I say that each time.....the audio takes it to another level. Both Joe and Ava do justice to the book with all the emotions.

This was just WOW! Griffins been there in the background for the last few books, the mystery man.

Now we get his story and what a heartbreaker it is.

We know Caelyn’s back story, she’s not had it easy and things are about to get a whole lot worse.

This is a story of them not only finding themselves but their other half! However to get there they have to face the ups and downs, the heartache and heartbreak and you feel it every step of the way.

A fantastic book great Audio adaptation.

Oh wow!

What can you say about a book that gives you so much feeling. The narration was amazing. The depth of emotion this book evokes is incredible. Once you start listening you won’t be able to stop. The storyline will break your heart and then put it back together by the end of the book. I love this authors work and I knew this would be good but I have to say it’s probably my favourite book of hers I’ve ever read or listened to. I cannot recommend this book and series highly enough.

Fantastic listen!

Emotionally charged, slow burn, second chances, a little suspense. This book has all the things I love in a story. The third book in Catherine Cowles Wrecked series, Wrecked Palace pulled me in and kept me captivated. Caelyn's life as a college student takes a complete turn when she becomes guardian for her three siblings. Willing to sacrifice her life to give them a stable, happy home, she does what she needs to get by. Griffin, a tortured "giant" of a man, struggles everyday with his past. Cowles takes these town wonderful characters and weaves a romance that will grab your heart. She lets us watch how two souls compliment each other. We also have the fabulous cast of siblings adding innocence. Love and humor. It's a culmination of all emotions with cameos from our favorites in the series. Loved this book and can't wait to hear the next one!

Ava Erickson and Joe Arden enhance this gem with an amazing narration. Erickson proves the strength and love of Caelyn. Each inflection brings out her personality bright and shining. Arden comes in as the broody Griffin. His voice gave this tortured hero, the pain he felt and also gave him that sweet, loving side making us fall for him. This fantastic team was a pleasure to listen to.

Book Hangover is REAL!

Book Hangover is REAL! Wrecked Palace is the kind of story I wanted to read over again as soon as I finished. It’s sweet and emotional, real and romantic.

One phone call changed Caelyn O’Connor’s life. She went from a happy college junior, to the head of a household and guardian to her brother and sisters. Caelyn loves her “tiny terrors” and works multiple jobs to give them everything they need.

“And isn’t that what everyone hopes for? To have joy amidst all the trials. You give us joy…”

Broody and handsome Griffin Lockwood usually keeps to himself, working on his farmhouse on the far side of the island. But when he opens his life to Caelyn and her siblings, he discovers healing and a family that he never thought he would find.

I listened to Wrecked Palace on audiobook and really enjoyed the narration. Ava Erickson really brought Caelyn to life. I loved everything about this book.

Wonderful book 5*

Wrecked Palace is the 3rd book in the Wrecked series and I was so looking forward to this.
I think after reading it it is my favourite.
This book has every emotion and suspense to keep you hooked. Caelyn took on the mother figure role to her siblings at a young age and put her own life on hold to care for them.
What can I say about Griffin this mysterious, grumpy man (Giant) who we met in earlier books and left you wanting more. This man is really a tortured soul but sees something in Caelyn and wants the best for her. He offers her a job as a chef/cook so he can protect her.
This book pulls on your heart strings and beautifully written and I cannot recommend it enough worth 5*+.
Audio is perfect
