I thoroughly enjoyed this book

A very fun story and I also enjoyed the narrator. Can't wait for book two!

When is the next one?

Disclaimer: I got this book for free to review. That being said, I will purchase the next one as soon as it is available. The world building is unique and fun, reasonable and realistic. The characters are solid. I loved every minute of the book, I cannot wait for more. 10/10 No notes.

Great start!

Though I would have liked to get to know the MC a little more at the beginning of the book. Things hit the ground running and rarely slow down through the book. The ring warlock concept was cool and the world was interesting. I enjoyed the narrator’s performance. I will definitely check out the next book.

Great Story Gets Great Narration

I had the good fortune to read an ARC copy of this great story and was a little worried hearing the audiobook version would ruin it for me. Ryan H. Reid did a great job giving this story the voices it needed.

NEED MORE!!!

Such a great start to the series! Book ends and you just want to start book 2 but realizing sadly you have to wait. I can’t wait for this series to continue. Such a good concept and very interesting setting.

A Unique story with an original concept

the book itself had me hooked with characters who were engaging and enough action to keep things moving, without losing the character development. the world building and unique magic and lore had me hooked, and I couldn't wait to find out what would happen next. I actually stayed up late to finish it because I couldn't wait. The audio narration was wonderful, and I can't wait to see where the story goes in upcoming books.

Decent story

This had a decent story, it lagged at times and was a little too i'm concentrating on him and not enough on character. Development, when it came to the other characters

What a fantastic book. So bingeable and cannot wait for more. Book 2 cannot come soon enough

Good, although MC is a bit self-righteous

Generally an entertaining story with characters that have good intentions. But the author, in an effort to show how noble and righteous our MC is, has him repeatedly do something that pretty cringy: upon the slaying of an animal, he thanks them for their sacrifice. I've seen this in other books and it's gag-inducing because the animal didn't make a sacrifice, any more than the victim of a theft has made a donation. The life was stolen, not given willingly, so the gratitude is misplaced and only serves to make the MC feel better about himself. Yuck.
