Rebecca Jenshak
A friends-to-lovers sports romance from USA Today best-selling author Rebecca Jenshak.
Johnny Maverick is a lot of things.
Great hockey player.
Loyal friend.
Rule breaker.
Always up for a good time.
And now, he’s my new roommate.
It’s only for a few weeks while I intern for the Wildcats—his new NHL team.
And there are some pros to living with my hot and ridiculous friend (or is that ridiculously hot?). He’s fun and unexpectedly sweet, and he reminds me not to take myself too seriously.
I had no intention of breaking the one rule given to me on my first day on the job: no sleeping with the players.
And if I had, I never dreamed that player would be Johnny Maverick.

Finally! Johnny and Dakota

Johnny is the biggest cinnamon roll hot AF dream boyfriend of the century. When I’m not in a dark romance state of mind? Johnny is the man for me! My heart side throughout this entire book so stinking romantic! And Joan had no shame. He was never untruthful with Dakota, he told her how he felt always. Yes, he did everything over the top, but he also loved over the top. Dakota was a very lucky lady.
Speaking of Dakota, we learned a bit more why she is a bit standoffish and tough. Her history really played apart and who she is, I guess, just like anybody else. But learning more about both their history, and what made them the way they were, showed so much more of their strengths and likenesses than their opposites. Because let’s face it, on a surface level? These two could not be more unsuited. Color me wrong.
This story was so so good! I wanted to cry in spots, cheered loudly and other spots, swore and other spots, and lastly made my coworkers say hey what is that you’re reading/listening to? I need to read that so now this series has been gifted to her for Christmas. That’s how good of the story was. It made a new fan without even her knowing a thing about the series just my constant reactions during the listening portions. Which I owe so much credit to: Connor Crais & Elizabeth Louise. These two truly brought the story alive for me, they contributed very very much to be making this my favorite of the entire series. They both had the perfect amount of emotion, no matter if they were playing the male or female character. Love these two if Connor wasn’t already one of my favorites, he would be now and Elizabeth has been added to that list.
all in all I could not wait to get my hands on the Physical version of this book, so now I have ordered it and the other three in the series because of course I have to have them all! Thank you so much Dakota and Johnny for making this end of the year amazing Rebecca Jenshak, you are a magician. Thank you for sharing your magic with us and transporting us to an amazingly beautiful world!
