Publisher's summary

He never wanted to be anyone’s hero....

Some would call me irrevocably broken. I submerge myself in long work hours by day and debauchery at The Wicked Horse by night, using those things to numb the pain and guilt I feel over the death of my wife. What isn’t satisfied by one will surely be resolved by the other. At least that’s how I’ve survived the last few years.

But things change when Hannah Madigan shows up at my door, the newest employee sent by the company that cleans my apartment. Beat down by life, not to mention a cheating husband who was unfairly awarded custody of their daughter, Hannah is determined to make a better life for herself and get her kid back, even if it means working three jobs to do so. One costly mistake puts Hannah in my debt, and I’m not about to let the chance to have this dark-haired beauty pass me by.

She’s given a golden opportunity....

Determined to stay the course by any means necessary, Hannah accepts my less than professional offer. I’ll give her a job. She’ll give me her body. Sounds easy, right? Until the scales tip and I find myself needing her in ways I’m not ready to admit. Until I find that saving someone else may just mean allowing myself to be saved in return.

Love the chemistry

Wicked Knight is the fifth book in the Wicked Horse Vegas series, but it is the first book in the series that I have read.  I did not feel that I needed the prior books in the series, where I’m sure there were references to prior characters from the series as well as some of the authors other series.  I loved seeing the overlap from those other series.
Asher and Hannah kept me tuned in right from the start.  I so enjoyed this story and do need to go back to read the prior books in the series.  Add in the narration and the book just popped.  You really could feel the emotions of the characters and the chemistry between Asher and Hannah was awesome.  There was so much story with these characters, it was so easy to stay glued to what was going to happen next.  I was sad when the story ended.

Oh My Asher!!

Loved this book!! It’s my first of the series even without the others it’s a couple standalone. Asher is the alpha male that doesn’t want to settle down so he generally avoids anything that has to do with commitment. He only focuses on his work and keeping it successful. Hannah has three jobs to try and stay a float unfortunately she’s barely treading water and most days feels like she’s sinking further but no matter what she keeps trying. She lands a job working for Asher as part of his staff and events happen that Hannah never expected to have to deal with. The story is well done and totally draws you in from the beginning.

Loved the narrators they did an amazing performance!!

Perfect for each other!

Ashton and Hannah's story was truly healing at its finest. Ashton has known the hardest kind of loss and doesn't do relationships. Hannah has had a tough time in life and manages to see the positive and do what needs to be done for her daughter. When these two meet, their chemistry is explosive. They both fit so seemlessly into each other's lives. Watching Asher not only learn to love Hannah, but her daughter as well melted my heart. There were some scenes that would light the pages on fire with the heat they give off! Great story!

The narrators did a great job bringing this story to life. Loved hearing the story come to life.

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 Steamy & Heartfelt!

I loved this book, I am a late comer to Sawyer Bennett’s “Wicked Horse” series and it is awesome to see another side of her creations, a steamier and kinkier side. As always she pens a fantastic story, it grabbed my attention right from the start and held it captive straight to the end. The characters are complex and nicely developed, they are likable and easy to relate to. Asher Knight, is a successful businessman, after losing his wife he got lost in work and his only pleasure was when he went to play at The Wicked Horse. He is an alpha Dom and scening at the club gave him what he needed without any emotional attachments. Hannah Madigan lost everything in her divorce including custody of her daughter, she is working three jobs to save enough money to pay a lawyer to get her back. One of those jobs landed her in Asher Knight’s residence, she caught his eye and when she made a costly mistake he comes up with a solution. She will work for him, it is an unconventional offer but the money would get her closer to getting her daughter back so she agrees to do it. She will is to be his partner at the club, it goes over so well he extends the offer and the timeframe. I loved how everything plays out in this book, how Asher starts to become human again. Hannah was so good for him and they were great together. The chemistry between them was smoking hot as was the scenes at the club. There is never a dull moment in this book, with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt moments and steamy ones, all leading to a wonderful lowborn romance. Sawyer Bennett, thank you for another fantastic story and emotional rollercoaster ride! I am looking forward to checking out more of your “Wicked Horse” series.

Lance Greenfield & Kristen Leigh are talented narrators and voice artists. They do an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life giving each their own voice and personality. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture the characters emotions as well as their passion which is heard in their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Amazing end to this series!

Holy hotness Asher Knight is amazing! Lance Greenfield does a fantastic job bringing him to life! He may start off with purely sexual intentions towards Hannah, but man does he fall hard as he gets to know Hannah's heart and soul! And that's just the best! I loved it! I loved their story from beginning to end and everything in between! Asher wants Hannah, but then he wants ALL of her and it made me so happy that he cared more about her and how he could help her than just having her at his beck and call in his life. I think Hannah is amazing too! Kirsten turns out to be the perfect Hannah! The things she has had to endure at the hands of her idiot ex are more than anyone who just wants to give their child the best should ever have to endure. And her little girl Hope is so stinking adorable! And Asher with Hope will melt your heart and seal the deal that he is definitely one of the most swoon-worthy heroes from this series. Both of these narrators brought their A-game to this incredible book by Sawyer Bennett. I am sad to see this series end but what a way for this incredibly hot and sexy but truly soulful series to go!!

I need more stars, this book is amazing

Asher Knight is certainly a dark knight that knows how to rescue a girl. When Hannah has an unfortunate accident, that leaves her in debt to Asher, he comes up with a way for her to repay him. Hannah is a mom, but because she could not afford the best lawyer, her husband has custody of her daughter and she has to pay child support. Her daughter is everything to her. She is just a pawn to her father. This makes Hannah so real, so easy to relate to. I loved Hannah's determination and love for her daughter. Asher is mysterious, yet intriguing. I really liked how he went from all business to having feeling for Hannah. The twists in this story kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know more. I could not put it down. I cannot wait to read more in this series.

Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh bring this story to life. They have complimentary voices that make the transition from one to the other smooth and easy. Mr. Greenfield creates the dominant, strong alpha Asher is. Ms. Leigh brings our the innocence of Hannah. but when Hannah starts to explore, the seductive side is truly brought out by Ms. Leigh's narration. It was easy to get lost in the story with the wonderful narration of this team.

Asher and Hannah

Hannah divorced her cheating husband and works three jobs to survive. Asher has closed himself off after the death of his wife. While cleaning Asher's home, Hannah breaks a very expensive vase. In order to pay off her debt for the broken vase and to hire a good attorney to regain custody of her daughter, Hannah agrees to spend one night at the Wicked Horse with Asher. When one night isn't enough for Asher, he convinces her to quit all her jobs and work exclusively for him and to be at his beck and call at all times. The more time they spend together, Hannah is determined to help Asher heal.

Another great Wicked Horse story!

Great Read

Wicked Knight (Wicked Horse Vegas #5) was another great read by Sawyer Bennett. Asher Knight runs his family business, Knight Investment Group during the day. At night, he is into much more debauchery at The Wicked Horse. He uses his time there to numb the pain and guilt he feels over his wife’s death. Hannah shows up at his door to be his newest employee. She feels completely broken down by a cheating husband that has taken everything including her daughter. She is determined to get custody of her daughter even if that means working multiple jobs. She gets into debt with Asher but she never thought in repaying him, her life would drastically change. I loved reading Asher and Hannah’s story and can’t wait to read more by Sawyer Bennett.

Her Knight

Hannah Madigan’s life couldn’t get any worse...right? Just having that thought alone was like tempting fate. Working three jobs already she is struggling to make ends meet and then the unthinkable happens. A mere accident could set back everything she has worked for. Asher’s take no prisoners attitude will remind Hannah who is in charge and she should comply with his demands rather sooner than later. It would all too simple to let him handle everything when life continues to beat her down with every breath. The chemistry is off the charts and the narrators do an amazing job of bringing the characters to life.
