Difficult to turn off

Wicked Secret is the eighth book in the Wicked Horse Vegas series. While this is a part of a series, can it be read as a stand alone, yes it can. This book can be read totally as a stand alone as I have only read a couple of the books in the series and was not lost with the characters. I did enjoy how the author tied in characters from another series and it had me excited with this tie in because that other series, Jameson Force Security, is more in suspense and mystery so I had hoped there would be more of that going on in this series. I was disappointed that it didn’t happen, even though there was some great opportunity for it, which is a large part as to why I am giving this the four stars and not five stars. Don’t get me wrong, there is some suspense and a twist or two but the author resolved the mystery sooner and didn’t really have that surprise factor for me. I really loved how the narrators really brought August and Leighton to live. They did an awesome job in portraying what the characters were feeling and made it very easy to visualize what was happening in the story. I had a very difficult time turning the book off and found myself listening while working from home. I’m looking forward to more from this author as there were hints to some upcoming events that are to come in other series.

Another Amazing Story!!

Absolutely love this series!! The next saga in the Wicked Horse doesn’t disappoint!! This one gives us a second chance romance. This is August’s story he is a member of Jamison Force and his motto is work hard play harder and the Wicked Horse club fits perfectly in his life. Until one night his world completely comes to a stand still when his first love comes back into his life after ten years. He doesn’t want her anywhere near him after her sudden disappearance. However fate doesn’t always play fair.

I lived it! These narrators are great as well as this story! The writing kept me listening non stop!!!
I am really falling in love w/ Sawyer Bennetts writing style and characters!
She gives you complex characters and storylines that are easy to follow but yet have a lot of depth as well. It always flows and keeps me hooked. Theres always some fun, sexy, and drama. Perfect mix!

Wicked Secret is the eighth book in the Wicked Horse Vegas Series. This book is amazingly interconnected with the Jameson Security Series. When these two worlds collide, you got the heat from one, and the suspense from the other! I like these Series with interconnected characters. August and Leighton's story is an amazing, steamy, and emotional second chance to love. August is a powerful man, dominant and protective. Leighton is a beautiful woman, strong and independent. Their chemistry is like fire! I like how they come to terms with their past, and how they fight for their future. The storyline is captivating, suspenseful, and fast paced, filled with secrets and mystery. You can listen to this audiobook as a standalone, but I believe it's better to listen to this Series in order. Kirsten Leigh and Lance Greenfield did a great job with the narration.

Oh yes! All the goodness of the Wicked Horse Vegas with the added twist of the hero being part of Jameson Force Security Vegas Division. August is floored when he answers his door in the middle of the night and the girl who disappeared 10 years ago is there. Surprise! She and her dad disappeared in middle of the night and have been in WITSEC, and now she has shown up because her son, their son, is sick and needs a stem cell transplant. This one was full of all the feels and all the drama expected but also lots of steam as expected of a Wicked Horse book. Definitely a recommendation from me! Great narrators!

Secrets and Teasers

Wow, what a secret to keep. How do you tell your high school boyfriend why you disappeared in the dead of night and never contacted him? And now, ten years later, how do you tell him why you finally searched him out? Leighton has so much to explain and August has so much anger to deal with. It's a wonder these two can stand to be in the same room.

Leave it to Kynan to make it work. I love Kynan. He has his guys backs no matter what. And he will come through yet again with what is needed.

And Sawyer Bennett, I love you but I hate you. You are such a tease in this book. What will happen with Malik? You are stoking the fires yet again.

This was my first adventure with Lance Greenfield and Kristen Leigh. I loved Lance as August. He had the gruffness and the gentleness of this character. Kristen handled Leighton well. Especially her exasperation with August about constantly throwing it in her face that she kept Sam from him for 9 years. Excellent choice for narrators.

4.5 Wicked Stars! Holy hotness! Second chance storyline with scorching hot chemistry and a twist. August and Leighton’s story will give you all the FEELS! Lance Greenfield and Kristen Leigh nailed the narration! Another great addition to this series!

Steamy second chance romance

Austin has only loved one woman, but she disappeared 10 yrs ago. Since then, he has hardened his heart against love. He enjoys his job at Jameson Security and playtime at the Wicked Horse. When Leighton comes back into his life, she brings secrets. Austin has a hard time forgiving her for abandoning him and their love but there’s more at stake than their feelings. Great story as these star-crossed lovers rediscover each other as well as work together to save their son.

Second Chance romance with a dash of MFM action

I've enjoyed Sawyer Bennett's Wicked Horse Las Vegas series, and now she had added a cross-over with the Jameson Force Security Vegas Division, which the hero of this book is a member of. Meet August who is shocked when in the middle of night the girl he lost appears, 10 years later. I always enjoy a good second chance romance, combine that with a smexy Alpha from the Jameson Force world and you've got me sold. Enter a surprise baby, or should I say 9 year old... and i'm double sold.
The book has a more complex story line with a medical emergency, requiring August's help to save his son.
All the Sexy goodness of Wicked Horse and the Alpha male goodness of Jameson Force combined for a great listen.
The narrators Lance Greenfield and Kristen Leigh as always do a great job in this duet narration.

Secrets, Suspense, Hottness

Sawyer Bennett has a way with words that keep me intrigued from that very first page till the very end. I loved that she weaved two different series together and made this an exciting story. I loved the intrigue and suspense and all the hotness that Sawyer loves to bring us.

August and Leighton heated up the pages from that first moment they laid eyes once again on each other. Add in the angst and suspense and this was an amazing story. How can we forget the set up for Ghost either? I think I got chills when August got the call.

Kirsten Leigh and Lance Greenfield did a fabulous job narrating this one. I loved listening to them voice August and Leighton and bring Sawyer’s words to life. You felt the emotion and angst and holy hotness.
